Chapter 2

Home base took a lot longer than I had expected it to be, here I was just sitting there patiently while trying my best to ignore everybody in class. Everybody had their own little group and they were talking peacefully among themselves, everyone except me and the person seated beside me. I decided to break the silence and introduce myself.

"Hi my name is Lani Samuels what's yours?" He didn't respond. So i just decided to ask random questions to see which one he would respond to, at the end I just decided to shut up and check up on Rosie once more. I was in the middle of sending a text and I heard the bell ring. Finally! I started walking to class and since classes are gonna be shorter because it's the first day of school I wasn't in a rush. I walked into my chemistry class noticing that my Bestfriend Tyler was in there too. I quickly grabbed the seat beside him and got settled. The day went by slowly and before I knew it, it was lunch time. Since our school was open campus I grabbed my keys and decided to drive to the day care and eat lunch with Rosie. A few minutes later I pulled up at the parking lot outside the daycare center and saw a bunch of little feets playing outside. It was only a matter of time till Rosie spotted me and dashed into my arms. To think I was at school for only 4 hours and it feels like I've gone forever! I spent my lunch break with Rosie and went back to school just as lunch ended. I checked my schedule again to see what class I had next. I walked into the classroom a minute before the bell rang, everybody already seated but I noticed that HE was in this class. Since there weren't any seats left I took a seat next to him.

"Why are you sitting here?"

"Uh well as you can see there are no other seats left"

"That's not my problem. Go sit somewhere else"

"Look, there are on other seats available so unless you can have somebody else in this classroom switch me spots then I'm afraid you're just gonna have to deal with it"

He looked pissed off and muttered something under his breath, right after they called his name for roll he grabbed his stuff and brushed past me.

"What's up his a*s?" I muttered.

I had only two classes with that jerk and he's already giving me the cold shoulder. Wonder how it's gonna be like for the rest of the school year. I mean the first day and he's already being an a*s. But I didn't care, once school was over Tyler asked if he can come over to see Rosie. He was complaining about how "he never gets to see her anymore". I didn't mind. Later on that night after putting Rosie to bed I kept thinking about how school is gonna be like with HIM in my class. Senior year sure is gonna be interesting. With that thought in my mind I drifted to sleep.
