I can't believe this. Grandpa Derek is leaving, the same time Violet and Chris's pup decide to make an entrance. What are the odds of that happening? I get startled when the machine he is hooked up to starts flat-lining and beeping. I lean down and kiss grandpa's forehead and whisper goodbye. My heart feels like it's breaking and I can't stop the tears. What breaks me the most is the look on grandma April's face as she holds her husband's hand and kisses it. I can't imagine losing your mate, I would be devastated and lost without Landon.
"Landon, have you found my brother or Alex?" I link him. It's not like Noah to not say goodbye or to ignore your links to him. My wolf begins to whimper as the doctor officially announces the time of death.
