"You worry for us that much? How flattering." Zi Yingjun picked an empty elegant cup and held it to his side. A servant immediately complied to fill it with wine. He retrieved it and took a light sip. Zi Yingjun mischievously smiled at Hai Liang. Sovereign Hei is already standing behind the little girl. "It was Yingjun who hunted more beasts than me. He singlehandedly defeated Hei Wen Zhu and he seemed to be friends now with Young Master Jin Xuan Meng. I wanted to tell everyone about how he and Master Meng saved the Hei Clan from the rampage but he told me not to."

"Zi Yingjun did?" he was dazed for a second.

"Mn. I think he did that because he knew no one in the academy will believe he did it on his own or will think he cheated. Uncle, Im starting to feel sorry for Yingjun. "Hai Liang, you should give that to me as a compensation." Zi Yingjun proclaimed confidently while his hand behind his back was forging a purple beam. Hai Liang raised a brow in question. "Your main husband caused a scene outside. He named me your shameless mistress. Was I, the Celestial Emperor, ever a mistress?"

"Don't be ridiculous!" Hai Liang appeared in front of him with a cheerful smile. She held his hand and he quickly dismissed the attack. Zi Yingjun kept his guard up against her. I thought you chose that worthless non-human girl over me."

Zi Yingjun sighed at himself. He will never be her 'mistress' again! That was humiliating but he cant just bring it up every time. Zi Yingjun looked down at his hands. Bloodstains appeared and disappeared. Hai Liang was the most unpredictable woman he ever met. He cant even tell if she is serious with him or not so that gave him the courage to fight her. It is also the reason why he did not kill her and gave the chance to her main husband. In the end, Hai Liang died. Through her main husband's hands since Zi Yingjun disabled her from struggling.

"You two have quite the history." Sovereign Hei appeared ahead the window. Zi Yingjun nodded and glanced at the door.

"From the start, till the end." Zi Yingjun muttered. From the start they first met before her future main husband, until they cooperated for both fun and support. Till the end where they fought, almost destroying half of the Hai Empire she established. She wouldn't have died if he spared her that day. In fact, Zi Yingjun cant tell if he did the right thing or not. After all, Hai Liang supported the demonic sect his master controlled but as an exchange, Zi Yingjun should be hers.
