They headed to the main hall to see two youth speaking to each other. The other was a beautiful young girl who is facing their direction while the young boy had his back on them. Hai Liang already thought Zi Yingjun doesn't have a good posture but to think he was tall and slim. But she should not give up. Maybe his face was oily or full of pimples. Anything that can make him ugly at all. Zi Ming Yun cleared his throat and the two of them turned to their place. Hai Liang almost dropped her jaw from the surprise.
The ugly bully she thought was actually a thousand times far from her imagination. Zi Yingjun simply exceeded her expectation. Moreover, his gentle but nonchalant face is her type. The way his lips arched naturally had tempted her. But, why does he have mo resemblance of Zi Ming Yun? Was it because he looks more like his father? If his father is a demon, then how good looking are demons in this world?!
"Uncle." Zi Yan Yue bowed for respect but Zi Yingjun just stood there.
"Huh. Since when did you have a child?" Zi Yingjun suddenly asked. Zi Ming Yun's complexion turned dark. Still, he kept his gaze on the little girl. "Uncle, who did you touch? Or maybe, you have more than one illegitimate baby outside. How many?"
"Its not." Zi Ming Yun pinched his nose bridge. He stepped back to introduce Hai Liang who hadn't recovered from her shock yet. "This is Princess Hai Liang from the Eastern Sea. Her spirit beast died and she landed here in the Southern Border. As of now, we will send elders to contact the Ye Empire. She will stay here for the meantime."
"A princess?" Zi Yan Yue blinked. She took a good look at Hai Liang and she does mirror a pampered princess. Hai Liang have a doll face with pretty red pupils.
Zi Yingjun smiled even more. He walked closer to Hai Liang with a bright expression. "Uncle, if you want to pick a beggar on the road, please choose someone who is not dreaming to be a princess." his words caused Hai Liang to break from her own world. She gasped in disbelief and pointed at him.
"How dare you call me a beggar! Apologize!" she felt that was too insulting. Her current face is the same as hers but even a boy like Zi Yingjun will believe she is a goddess in one look! Yet, he degraded her to a beggar...
His purple eyes sparkled in bliss. Zi Yingjun laughed it off as he left without apologizing. Hai Liang then believed what the servant said. He is very arrogant!
Sovereign Hei glanced at the angry little girl while following Zi Yingjun. He felt something is wrong about her. If he met a stranger, he doesn't feel threatened at all but just one look of that girl, his instincts told him she's not simple. However, he suddenly recalled the name Hai Liang.
"Is she that Empress Xie?" Sovereign Hei asked Zi Yingjun.
"Mn. It is Empress Xie." Zi Yingjun smiled coldly. He can still remember Hai Liang in his past life. She was one of the Five Great Villains within the continents. Hai Liang conquered vast lands around the Eastern Sea and she trained a lot of assassins better than him. Unfortunately for Hai Liang, Zi Yingjun was reborn. He can outsmart her now or maybe even change their course of fate.
"Her face is deceiving. She looks too adorable to be that woman who harassed you." Sovereign Hei grinned but Zi Yingjun scoffed.
"True. She did it even if just a kid." he almost shivered just thinking how he let Hai Liang take advantage of him in his past life. Back then, he was kind and naive that he failed to see how malicious Hai Liang was. But since he knew her well, he will avenge the humiliation he got from her.
Dinner was served and out of everyone's expectation, Zi Yingjun joined. If it was the past him, he'd rather read books. Zi Yan Yue was elated to sit next to Zi Yingjun. It was unlucky her parents are not here to eat with him. In truth, Zi Yan Yue's father was fond of Zi Yingjun more than Zi Gu Wen. That is the reason why Zi Yingjun became her friend even though Zi Clan treated him as an eyesore. However, her parents were sent outside to scout around Da Long Mountain so Zi Yingjun then relied on Zi Yan Yue and Zi Gu Wen. Next year, her parents and other elders will probably return. Its only a couple of months from now.
"Uncle, you remember the previous competition?" Zi Yan Yue started a conversation. She is close with Zi Ming Yun since he is the one who took her parents' place after they left to scout. Zi Ming Yun hummed his inquiries. "Well, Hei Clan's Hei Wen Zhu did something I wouldn't agree with and Yingjun helped me. He easily defeated Hei Wen Zhu. That guy even turned unconscious. Yingjun is-"
"Ah Yue." Zi Yingjun suddenly called which made her stop. He lowered his chopsticks with a 'pa'. "You shouldn't talk about that. You know how Uncle thinks. He might hunt the poor guy."
Hai Liang glanced at Zi Yingjun's languid but smiling face. She immediately realized there is something between the two.
"Clan Leader, are they lovers even if engaged or not?" she innocently asked. Zi Yan Yue and Zi Ming Yun choked as Zi Yingjun tittered.
"Little girl, why do you care?" Zi Yingjun secretly challenged. She may look innocent but he knew what a shrew she is. When he first met her and she acted so vulnerable, he almost treated her like a goddess. Zi Yingjun was then harassed by her even if she was just twelve. He was unable to notice her sneakiness because of his principle that all children are innocent. But Hai Liang is not.
"Because if two close relatives copulated and the other gave birth, their children will be abnormal." Hai Liang saw his challenging look. Her words made Zi Yan Yue's face alternate from red to white. All of a sudden, the atmosphere between Hai Liang and Zi Yingjun became tensed.
