My hand reaches for my side, expecting to feel June, but to my disappointment, was only met with the air. Tuning out everything else, I looked around the crowded halls, searching and searching until I saw her. June was across the way, standing alone and watching us.  I find myself smiling easily, feeling myself relaxed from just seeing her. “There you are, June.” There was a frown on her face as she looked between the girl and I. The need to prove to her that she was more important than anyone else overwhelmed me and I pushed past the girl still talking in front of me. I barely heard what she was saying to my back.
