My Surprise

Liam: Girasole wake up!

Me: It's too early.

Liam: It'll be worth it. I promise.

Liam wakes me up at the crack of dawn. I'm so tired from him pouncing on me last. He blindfolds me and guides me to the front door. He helps me down the stairs. He lets go of me.

Liam: Take it off!

He's standing in front of me with his arms spread out. Behind him is a dark blue charger with a bow on it. I walked up to it, running my hand over it. I love it. I'm so spoiled by this man.

Liam: Yep. The arrival was super late, but this was your birthday present.

Monica: It's too early

Me: Come outside.

Lilly: For what?

She rubs her belly. Gwen and Lexis come to the door with cups of coffee. Gwen hands her coffee to Lexis and runs out to the car. They react the same way as Lilly. I signaled Lexis over to join us. They hop in, and we head off to the bridal shop. The guys wave us off and head back inside. We arrived at the bridal shop. We're browsing for a wedding dress, but I can't find the right one. I tried on so many dresses. Searching rack after rack, I'm not happy with any of them. We end up leaving and going to have lunch.

Monica: So a month?

Me: Yep.

Lilly: You excited?

Me: Yes!

Monica: We're so happy for you guys.

Me: Thank you guys.

Gwen: I can't believe he's actually getting married. I can't believe he wanted to marry Sara.

The mention of her name takes me back to the day at the hospital. I think back to the fact he had almost stabbed Liam or me. I can't help but ask.

Me: Has anyone heard from Kai since the hospital?

Lilly: Sara bailed him out. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

Monica: Omg! What happened?

Me: When you were in the delivery room. I went to get a snack and he cornered me. I tried to leave and he wouldn't let me. Briggs showed up to save me, then Liam showed up and when I looked back, Briggs was holding him back, and he had a knife in his hand.

Gwen: I swear I'd kill him Lilly if he wasn't your brother.

Lilly: I know I thought Liam was going to kill him that day when Melly moved out.

Gwen: Enough about him. It's making my blood boil.

We move the talk back to potential wedding ideas. I get a call from Liam. I step away to speak to him in private. I miss him so much.

Liam: Girasole?

Me: Who else?

Liam: I don't know you're with the girls. They might have answered.

Me: Uh no. What's up?

Liam: I miss you.

Me: I miss you too.

Liam: So I got some bad news.

Me: What is it?

Liam: I have to go out of town with dad. It'll only be 2 days.

Me: 2 days?!

I didn't realize I yelled, causing the girl to look over at me. I lower my voice back to a whisper. I'm so upset. We haven't been apart since my birthday. I don't want to go back to that.

Liam: Stop pouting.

Me: I'm not pouting.

Liam: You'll have to wait and see. Head home and kick everyone out.

Me: OK.

I headed back to the girls and told them the news of Liam leaving me to go out of town. We head back home and everyone packs up and heads out. I wave them off. I headed upstairs and took a shower.
