It's been about a week since finding out about Liam's family secret and nothing has changed. I don't treat them like criminals and my feelings are still the same if not stronger for him. When Kai quit working for Eleco, Liam took over as head of the IT department. He still does his freelance photography. He said it wasn't enough to give us a decent life, so he made it a side job. I wouldn't care if he was poor as long as he loved me the way he has. I'd be happy. It's officially 2 weeks until the wedding.
I had just gotten off of work. I was promoted to manager since Lilly resigned due to her pregnancy. She was still able to work. It's just Briggs wanted her to stop, since he was making more money as a security officer at Eleco. I decided to pay a surprise visit to Lilly and see if we could find a dress. I let Liam know I wont be home right away that I was stopping by to see Lilly. When I arrive, I knock on the door but no one answers. I start to head back to the car when the door opens and Kai is standing there.
Kai: Melanie, hi.
Me: Uhhh..... Lilly home?
Kai: No, they had a doctor's appointment. She's on her way back if you want to wait.
Me: That's ok. I'll come back later.
He grabs my arm. I tried to pull away, but his grip was tight. He pulls me into the house. He pulls me to the couch and lets me go.
Kai: Relax, I know I acted crazy, but I'm fine now. I'll make some tea.
I know I should make a run for it, but he seems normal. But then again, I can't be too sure about him. As I'm debating, he came back with two cups of tea. He sets it on the table in front of me.
Me: Thanks.
Kai: Your welcome. So what brings you by?
Me: Still haven't found a dress yet.
Kai: I know a great shop if you--
Me: No, thanks. I like looking around.
Kai: Ok.
An awkward silence follows. I took a sip of the tea. He is staring at me and I feel uncomfortable. I stood up and left.
Me: Thanks for the tea. Tell Lilly I stopped by.
Kai: Will do.
I start heading down the stairs when suddenly I feel light-headed. I grabbed the railing and continued to make my way down. Now my body is feeling weak.
Kai: Melanie, you ok?
Me: My head.....is....
Kai: It's just a little medicine. It'll fade soon.
His voice starts to drown out. My eyes feel heavy. They start to close and I lose all consciousness.
I'm starting to come to. When my eyes finally adjust, I wake up to an unfamiliar place. My head started hurting again. I try to rub my head when I realize I can't move. My hands are tied up behind me. What the f**k is going on?
Kai: Oh, your awake princess.
I looked around. Kai is coming out of the bathroom with just a towel on. He walks over to me and sits on the bed.
Me: Where are we?
Kai: In a motel outside the city.
Me: Why?!
Kai: I have to get you away from him princess. I can't have you. No one can.
Me: Kai you've seriously lost your mind!
Kai: No you have. You really thought I would let you marry him, raise the bastard in your stomach, and have a happy ending?
He starts laughing. He grabs my phone and starts typing away. I got a message back. He types again, then sets it down.
Me: What did you just do?
Kai: Messaged your sweet lover and told him it was over, that you realized you wanted to be with me, and that you'd be staying at Lilly's place.
He gets dressed and grabs my phone. He grabs his keys and starts to leave. He walks back over to me and takes my earrings out.
Kai: I know he put a tracker in them, so I'll be taking these with me. I swear you do anything to cause any problems. I will kill you.
What he doesn't know is my back-up trackers are in my locket which is still around my neck. He walks over to me and touches my cheek. I turn away. He goes for a kiss, but I turn away, and it lands on my cheek. I try to wiggle free, but it's no use. He pulls out a gun and points it at me. I can't believe I'm in this situation. Why must I try and find the good in people when there never was? I knew I should have just left when he went into the kitchen. I could've been back home with Liam right now. I have no clue where I am. No way to contact anyone. And no way to move.
Kai finally came back. She has a bunch of grocery bags. He sits down on the bed. He just stares at me like he usually did when we were together. He runs his finger down my arm. I try to move but can't. He then pulls out the gun and sets it down next to him.
Kai: I'm gonna untie you. Do not try to make a run for it or scream and you and that little bastard are dead.
ME: Excuse you! Don't you dare call my child a bastard!
Kai: Mel, shut the f**k up so I can release you.
I stay quiet. He unties me and I rub my wrist. He throws a bag of chips at me, and it hits me in the face. I gave him the meanest stare. I pick up the chips and eat. I have to figure a way out of this or Liam does. I stood up and he grabbed the gun. I dropped the chips.
Me: I was just stretching my legs and going to use the bathroom.
He lowers the gun and head nods to the bathroom. I went in, closing the door behind me. I sit on the toilet and silently start crying. I don't want him nor do I want to die like this. I pinch myself. I have to be strong. For me and my family. I rub my stomach. Mommy will protect you. No matter what. I finish up and look in the mirror. I make sure I don't look like I been crying. I go back and sit in the chair. He doesn't tie me back up.
Me: Where is my phone?
Kai: I know he put a tracker in it, so I drove back to Lilly's place and smashed it.
Me: Why?!
Kai: I worked for their dad. You don't think he revealed this to me in private?

I feel Kai looking at me. Maybe I can sneak his phone. Since he is so crazy about me, maybe I can use it to my advantage. I stood up and went to sit next to him. I make my finger graze his.
Me: You know maybe I was crazy thinking he was the one. We didn't even date that long.
Kai: Finally you see it.
Me: You always knew exactly what I liked and how to please me baby.
I swear, just saying that I want to take the gun and shoot myself. After f*****g Liam, no man can ever compare to him. He knows when to be gentle and knows when to get wild. I love everything about that man. I got on my knees and started moving closer to Kai. He doesn't move. I get close to his neck.
Me: I miss your touch. I want you right now.
Kai: God, baby I miss you too.
He tries to kiss me and I pull back. I want to do this without actually making real contact. I think I can do it. I pushed him down onto the bed. f**k I have to search him. Minimal touch should work. I ran my hand over his chest down to his pants, and he grabbed my hand.
Kai: Looking for this?
In his other hand is his phone. He shakes his head and moves me off him. He sits me back in the chair and ties me back up. If he knew why did he play along?
Kai: Do you think I'm stupid Mel?
Me: I don't know. You were dumb enough to propose then get two girls pregnant at the same time and think the soon-to-be wife would never find out. By the way, where is Sara?
Kai: She moved in with her mom. I told her we weren't getting married.
Me: So are you still going to be there for YOUR child?
Kai: f**k that kid. My child unfortunately died. We'll make another.
Me: Like hell we will. She's going to put you on child support?
Kai: Good luck getting any money! I don't have a job anymore.
I wish I knew he was this big of a piece of s**t. I almost feel bad for Sara now. He would've made a terrible husband. He wans't even excited about the baby. Liam was over the moon when he found out. He keeps talking, but I just drown him out at this point. I don't want to hear anything else he has to say.
