I ended up sleeping in the chair last night. Kai was gone when I woke up. I looked around the room trying to see if I could find anything to figure out where I was. Should've known someone good with tech would outsmart me or think 10 steps ahead of me.I can't move, so it's not like I can search anywhere. I do what he says and try not to escape and don't scream for help. No matter how much I want to. He had already shot Liam once. I'm sure he'd do it again. Suddenly, the door opens. Kai comes in carrying bags.
Kai: I'm back princess.
Me: Stop calling me that.
Kai: You'll always be my princess.
Me: Don't make me throw up.
Kai: Things would be so much better if you stopped acting like a stuck-up b***h Melanie.
Me: WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME?! Who are you? You would never have said something like that to me.
Kai: Things change. People change.
He puts the bags down and walks over to me. He grabs my face. I try to pull away, but his grip is firm. He kisses and tries to put his tongue in my mouth. I bit his lip, then spit on the floor.
Me: Dont ever touch me again!
Kai: Love, don't be that way. I know your upset with me but it'll get better.
Me: KAI, I f*****g HATE YOU!
He slaps me across the face. My cheek is stinging. He then drops in front of me. He looks like kid who just broke his favorite toy.
Kai: Princess I'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me. Just please don't say things like that. I know you don't mean it.
I don't say another word. I just let the tears roll. I close my eyes and say a little prayer, hoping Liam knows something is off. I stay in the chair until I fall asleep.
I wake up to still being tied up in a chair. He says he loves me but leaves me in a chair to sleep. He looks over and sees me looking at the ground.
Kai: You thirsty love?
Me: Yes and stop calling me princess and love. I'm a hostage right now.
Kai: Once you realize you want things to work, I'll untie you for good.
Me: Guess I'll be dying here then.
He laughs. He grabs a bottle of water and tries to make me drink. I refuse to open my mouth.
Kai: I don't like seeing you like this. Please drink.
Me: Last time I accepted a drink from you, you drugged me.
Kai: But I have you now so no reason for that anymore.
Me: Seeing you like this, I don't know what I ever saw in you.
Kai: I saved your life!
Me: And killed our child!
I start crying. He wipes my tears away. I turn away, trying to avoid his touch. When I look up, he looks upset. I feel nothing for him. All I keep thinking about is Liam.
Me: What's so great about me?
Kai: Everything! I've never felt this way before.
Me: Psychotic?
Kai: No, in love.
Me: This isn't love. This is obsession. What's even weirder is usually the virgin gets like this.
Kai: Being with you was like being a virgin. Everything was a first with you.
It's sweet and cringful at the same time. Since we have this time I finally ask what's been on my mind.
Me: Why did you cheat on me?
Kai: I was stupid.
Me: That's not a reason.
Kai: I was stupid. Before we met, I would always try to talk to her. For some reason, with the promotion and our engagement, she started coming on to me. One night she tricked me, then next thing I knew we were constantly having s*x.
Me: Never once did you think about how it would affect me or us if I found out?
Kai: I did.
Me: I bet as you were balls deep in her.
Kai: I can't take back what I did.
Me: And you can't fix it either. Our baby is dead because you stressed me out and cheated on me. And the cake topper was you got her pregnant at the same time as me.
Kai: I'm sorry.
I ignore him. I don't want to hear it anymore. I regret asking. I stay silent. How much longer do I have to stay like this?
Kai: I could have Liam, Gwen, and their dad arrested for murder.
Me: What are you talking about?
Kai: They killed those two guys in the park.
Me: DID YOU SEND THEM AFTER ME?!
Kai: Yeah to get you. But of course it didn't go as planned so I had to come up with another method when they never returned.
Me: Your a monster!
Kai: Melanie stop f*****g yelling!
Me: Or what you'll hit me again?!
He starts to raise his hand, then starts laughing. He squats down in front of me. He got a stupid smirk on his face.
Kai: Your trying to provoke me. But it won't work.
I hate him so much. I just want my Liam. I want to be away from Kai for good.
I spent another night in this stupid f*****g chair. My options are the chair or the bed and I refuse to share a bed with him. He wakes up and unties me. I try to go to the bathroom, but instead he throws me on the bed. He pins my hands down over my head. His hands are all over me.
Me: Kai Stop!
Kai: I had a dream and you were screaming my name. Why not make it real?
Me: This is considered rape!
Kai: Can't rape the willing.
Me: HOW f*****g DARE YOU?!
I try to wrestle free but it's useless against him. f**k this and f**k him. I managed to get my leg from under him and kneed him in the nuts. He groans, grabbing his d**k and balls, and rolls off me. I ran to the bathroom. I'd run out the door, but I couldn't risk him shooting me and killing the baby. He's beating on the door aggressively.
Kai: MELANIE ! OPEN THE DOOR!
Me: NO!
Kai: OPEN THE f*****g DOOR! NOW!
Me: YOUR NOT HURTING ME!
KAI: I WON'T IF YOU OPEN THE f*****g DOOR!
Me: YOU PROMISE!
Kai: YES! NOW OPEN!
I opened the door slowly. I moved back just as he barged in. He grabs my arms and puts me back in the chair. He ties me back up even tighter this time.
Kai: I've had enough of your s**t Mel. From now on, you are either fed or you don't eat. I'm not letting you out of the chair again unless you gotta pee.
Me: I didn't ask to come out in the first place. I can't wait until Liam get here! He's goi--
He grabs the gun and points it at my stomach. I quickly shut up. I started crying. I can't risk our child. I won't let anything happen to OUR special gift.
Kai: Don't mention him again.
Me: Understood.
He looked at me, shocked that I agreed so quickly. I'm not taking risks anymore. Liam will find us. I just need to keep us alive long enough for him to do it. I'll play by his rules until the time is right.
