Liam POV (4)

After the fiasco at dinner with Kai, I decided to show how sorry I was by taking her on a nice quiet date. Just the two of us. I took her to a little park that hardly anyone goes to. We were having a great time until the 2nd most hated person I ever met showed up.

Guy: Well, well, well. If it isn't little Liam. I thought that was your Lamborghini.

Me: What do you want, Niko?

Niko: Is that anyway to treat an old friend?

Me: You were never a friend. Last time I checked, you raped my sister and then kidnapped her for ransom.

Niko: That's not true Liam. I loved Gwenny. She wasn't raped. She wanted it and we planned the ransom together. But let's let bygones be bygones. As a token of forgiveness, I'll take that cute piece of ass your hiding though.

Niko: You won't touch her. And if you try, I'll kill you.

Guy: You see Liam, that doesn't work for me. I came for her, and I'm leaving with her. Bosses orders.

He's pressing my buttons. He pulls out a gun, pointing it at me. f**k! I don't have time for this. Plus, I have Melanie and I don't want her to get hurt. I pulled my gun out. I told Melanie to text Gwen 618. It's our family code for danger act fast. Damien steps out from behind a tree. Great both of these idiots. Now I have two guns on me.

A black jeep comes to a screeching halt. Lexis hops out the driver's side and Gwen out on the passenger side. They have their gins ready. Gwen picked a winner with this one. I feel Melanie shaking behind me.

Niko: Gwenny, baby, I missed you.

Gwen: f**k you Niko.

Lexis: Is this that piece of s**t you told me about?

Gwen: Y--

Lexis fired off before Gwen could even finish her sentence. She must have told her what happened. Damien aims for my sister and i got him before he could get her. I walked over and we finished the job. Lexis put the whole clip in Niko. Gwen called up dad, telling him we needed cleaners. I motion for Melanie to get in the car while we wait on the guys to get here. I know Melanie isn't used to seeing stuff like this and I have no idea where to start. We headed home and not one word was said. Everyone is at the house. I know we have to discuss the cover-up. Melanie is drinking a glass of wine. I don't want her to drink, but I know she must be freaking out right now.

Me: Everything ok girasole?

Melanie: No. I think everyone here is lying to me and I want the truth!

Me: No one here is lyi--

Melanie: Liam, I trust you with my life. Stop hiding or the wedding is off.

Sharp one she is. I think she finally figured out. But she doesn't need to know. I know to make it seem like she over thinking when dad begins to speak.

Dad: Your ri--

Me/Gwen: Papà!

Dad: She deserves to know. She will be a part of this family. Lexis knows and she's not even family. She was bound to find out eventually.

My dad grabs a bottle and some glasses. He pours everyone a shot before he explains, and I'm completely shocked. I knew he had a mafia lifestyle growing up and that why we are the way we are now. We also knew that he changed our names nut knowledge of that life before has been like wiped. But apparently me and Gwen are twins? Gwen was given up because they weren't ready for two kids? Mom was gunned down and didn't die from breast cancer?

Gwen:Are you f*****g serious right now?! You gave me up?!

Me: How could you do that?!

Dad: I did what I had to do! To give you guys a good life! So I could come back for you Gwen! I made it where we could afford to raise 2 kids and then some!

Gwen: f**k you dad! Your a piece of s**t!

Me: I can't believe you lied to us about stuff like this!

Gwen: I'm can't believe you lied about mom!

Dad: I'm sorry kids. I Just didn't want it to happen again.

Liam: We would have been fine!

Gwen: If you had told us sooner maybe we could have protected mom!

Dad: I hate myself everyda--

Gwen: You should! Your a fuckin Monster!

Me: There's so much I want to ask but I'm just so f*****g mad right now!

We just continue going off on him not really letting him speak. Our world has been turned upside down right now. He just dropped bomb after bomb on us. Melanie came rushing through the front door.

Melanie: HEY!

Our arguing drowns her out. We continue attacking him and he starts to look defeated. I don't think I will ever see him the same way again.

Melanie: ALESSIO, ALESSANDRA, AND ELIO!

We all stoop and look at her. Confused by what she just said, my father walks over to her and gives her a hug. He says something to her and she nods her head. After he leaves, she walked over and slapped me. She explains everything of our childhood and we understand better. We start feeling back that we never really gave dad a chance to explain. Gwen and Lexis leave heading to dad house. As for me, my face still hurts.

Me: Did you have to slap me so hard?

She gets an ice pack for my face. We talked about why I had never told her. I know I just lost her and I have to accept that, but she doesn't seem fazed.

Me: I get it if you want to call off the engagement.

Melanie: I never said that. I oddly find it kinda hot.

Me: Seriously?

Melanie: Seriously. Fangs like a vampire and now an ex-mafia affiliate. I'm living my own little soap opera.

She throws her leg over and starts kissing me. This girl never ceases to amaze me. I start getting hard and she unzips my pants. She moves her panties to the side and slides down on my d**k. She moves back and forth til we both c*m. I decided to make amends with dad tomorrow and she agreed to come for support. We head upstairs and go to bed.

The next dad we drove over to dad house. When we arriveI ring the door bell but no one answer. Not even the maid. I have a spare keys, so I unlocked the door and the house is just dark and gloomy. I grab her hand and search the house until I find him in the den with two empty bottles of whiskey. Melnie gives us a few moments alone.

Me: Dad. I'm sorry about yesterday. I should have let you explain.

Dad: Actually I'm still lying.

Me: Dad, what the f**k?! Never mind just explain.

Dad: we gave you up. Not Gwen. She was a girl and I wanted to protect her. You would carry on the family name and I knew you would be brave and strong. You had my blood running through you. But once we got on our feet we wanted you back and we did just that.

Me: But how could me and Gwen not know we are twins?

Dad: Technically you are the oldest. You came out first. But we just took a year off of Gwen's age and changed her birthday on her paperwork.

Me: Dad, I'll look past all of this just don't lie to us again. We love you and this could have ruined our family.

Dad: I know but I glad it's finally out in the open.

Me: Did Gwen come by?

Dad: She and her girlfriend came by last night after I left. We made up.

Me: Yeah Melanie slapped me. So killed me if I stayed stubborn.

Dad: You found yourself a good one. Don't let her go.

Me: Honestly, I thought last night was the end for us. But she wasn't freaked out as much as I thought.

Dad: I wish I was like this with your mother. She might still be with us today.

Me: Maybe, maybe not but she'll forever live on through us. We gotta head out Speaking of mom I think it's time they met.

Dad: Ok son. Thanks for coming by.

Me: Of course. Love you dad.

I give him a hug and then go off to find Melanie. Seems she found the family photos. She's holding a picture of my mom. i wrap me arms around her. Looking at the photo brings nothing but good memories up. she reminds me of my mother in so many ways it's scary.

Me: She was beautiful inside and out. Smart, funny, loving, caring, kind. The list goes on and on.

Melanie: I wish I could have met her.

Me: Well, I have been thinking that maybe it's time you two met. When we leave here, let's stop by her grave. She needs to meet the woman that makes her son so happy.

We leave and drive off to my mother's grave, stopping for some flowers along the way. we finally get there and Melanie ask for a moment alone with her. I walk away but I don't go too far. I know im garbage for listening in but my curiosity got the best of me.

Melanie: Hi. I'm Melanie. Liam's fiance. It's nice to finally meet you. I got some flowers for you. I grabbed any flower I could think of. I can't thank you enough for bringing this wonderful man into this world. He's been in my life for a short time, but he has done so much for me. You did an amazing job raising him. I know what happened to you, and I'm sorry you were taken away. But I want you to know that I love your son very much and will do everything I can to make him happy and protect him. And the same goes for Gwen and Giovanni. But I'm sure you remember them as Alessio, Alessandra, and Elio. He says I remind him of you. I lost both my parents, but I know they are watching over me just as you are over them. I'll leave now so Liam can have some time with you and hope we can talk again.

Thats was beautful. I teared up a little. I keep my composure. Shee walked back over to me and let me know she was done. I had a quick chat alone with my mom. Telling her how she was the one and she would have loved her. We get in the car and head home. I grab her hand and kissed it.

Me: You don't know how much that meant to me.

I can't wait until I'm officially married to this girl arrive home and call it a day.
