We finally arrived home. I haven't spoken a word. Liam and his dad help Gwen into the house. Their "doctor" shows up shortly after. While Gwen is getting patched up, Liam and his father turn to me. Mr. Elec: Melanie, we're postponing the wedding. Me: What?! Why?! Liam: Girasole, you're in no condition to walk down the aisle. Me: We still have weeks. Mr. Elec: You have two days. There were a lot of cancelations, so the wedding was bumped up. Do I really have two days to prepare for my wedding? I already have the dress, which was my biggest issue.
