Cassidy’s POV
She had to have heard wrong or the woman before her was joking or playing some type of prank on her to see her reaction. But when she saw the deep seriousness in the eyes of her mother, her heart ached.
“What did you say, mom?” Cassidy asked and the woman looked to the side with a frown on her face.
“You heard me.” She faced her with a stone cold expression on her face. “I want you to divorce him.”
Cassidy felt anger crawling through her body as she weighed her mother’s words. She could not believe what she was saying. She was confused, angry and wanted to leave her presence.
