[Carlos]      I woke up with Christmas in my arms sleeping deeply. It's already 8:00 p.m. in the evening and the voice outside awake me. I took my phone in the side table and took a picture of her sleeping. The flash of the camera made her forehead in knotted. “Time to wake up, Love. You don't want to miss this night,” I said putted back my phone where I took it. “Do we really have to go? Let's just sleep here,” she moaned still sleeping in my arms. “Don't you want to see a fireworks?” I asked. She suddenly opened her eyes. “Fireworks?” I laughed. “Yea, fireworks. Let's go now before we miss it.”      We are now walking towards at the Pier while our hands are intertwined together. We aren't yet there but the beautiful lights coming from the ferris wheel already seen from here. The people with us are already heading in the Pier to witness the fireworks display at exact 9:30. “So, this what you want to show me?” she asked as we got inside. “Yea, and the fireworks also later,” I replied, “Let's go first at Pier Burger. Im hungry.” “Okay.”      As we got in Pier Burger, we ordered different menu. Christmas ordered Cheese Dog and large Diet Coke while I ordered Crispy Chicken Sandwich and large Barqs. We are now here outside, eating our food while strolling with the people around us. “Do you want to go watch the fireworks later at the ferris wheel?” I asked her. “We are going to watch the fireworks in the ferris wheel?” She raised her look at the ferris wheel while we are still walking. “Yea, that is what I said. Don't you want to be there?” “Of course I want! It-it's just sort of...” she paused. “Sort of what?” “Sort of romantic like in a movie,” she continued. I laughed. “Aren't this already romantic for you? Everything what we did since we got here?” I saw how she bit her lower lip. “This is already romantic but the feeling up there is different and completely more romantic for me.” She looked again at the ferris wheel. “Me and Duke never been this before. We are always dating or going in the mall and restaurants which is I'm also having fun but...” She paused. “But what?” She suddenly stopped walking. “B-but this is more exciting than we are doing.” She confessed. I laughed. “So, you think I am more romantic to Duke or better than him?” I asked confidently. “Ahh, wha-what? I never say–” “Just answer the question, Love. I know you hear it,” I said in my teasing voice. “Y-yes.” “Yes what?” I laughed. “You're better than him!” she answered out loud, “Because he is an asshole and a murderer.” I suddenly stopped when I heard her say 'murderer' which I know she is pertaining when Duke killed her child while she is carrying it. “Come here.” I hugged her here in the middle of the way. “What are you doing?” she asked, holding her food. “Please don't come back on him,” I whispered, “Stay with me again.” “Bu–” “Stay with me again, Christmas.” I tightened my hug where she can't walk away from me. “O-okay,” she replied and hugged me back. I looked at her face. “I love you.” I kissed her lips.      Christmas and I finished our food as we continued strolling around. We are just waiting for the fireworks so we can ride at the ferris wheel. For the meantime that we are waiting, we decided to go at Playland Arcade to play some games. We mostly played the old-school game which are the skeeball and pinball that we both enjoy together. At exactly 9:00 p.m. we decided to head at the ferris wheel to wait the remaining minutes for the fireworks. “It's beautiful up here,” Christmas said while looking at the lights below us, “Can't wait to see the fireworks.” “Yea, me too,” I replied while watching her in front me. “What time is it now?” she asked because I'm the only one who has a watch. “We had 10 minutes before the fireworks start,” I answered.     While we are waiting for the remaining time, I spend my time by watching her in front me. She is distracted with the colorful lights below us and I feel like jealous about it. Funny right? Simple things make me jealous when it comes to her. I want her to be distracted only to me not on the other things or to someone. I want her all attention but I am still enjoying this moment for me to demand. Fizz! Hiss! Boom! “Wow,” Christmas uttered as the fireworks started to display in the night sky, “This is amazing.” She giggled. “Do you like the fireworks?” I asked while joining her to watch what is above us. “I don't like it. I love it,” she replied, “Thank you for bringing me here.” I smiled. “I will do anything that will makes you happy.”      We watched the whole fireworks display till it finished. When the ferris wheel take us down, we decided to go back on the hotel to continue resting. I told her that we are going to do something tomorrow and I didn't tell her what exactly it is. I already asked my friend to settled things for me and I'm glad that she did my favor. We are just going to wait for tomorrow. “Wake up sleepyhead!” I said and threw the pillow I used to her face. “What? I'm still sleeping,” she moaned drowsily. “It's already 7:00 a.m., Christmas. Wake up now and we are going to fish in a sailboat that I rented,” I said while preparing the tackle box that we are going to bring. I took this on the trunk of my car I didn't tell her that we had this. I have here two rod and net that we are going to use in catching fished later. She suddenly aroused in her bed. “What? We are going to fish?” She asked looking at me. “Yea, that's why you better fix yourself now,” I answered. “Okay!” she said and quickly run in the bathroom.      I just shook my head, having a thoughts in my mind that she still love this fishing thing. Maybe she forgot but the things that she usually do before is still on her. That is keeping me alive that there's a chance se will remember soon. I walked through the door of the bathroom, holding the tackle box together with the rods and the nets that we are going to use. Knock! Knock! “I will wait you outside,” I said after knocking twice. “Okay!” she replied.      I left her in our room and headed to the car which is parked just in front of the hotel. I waited her for almost twenty minutes and she finally came out wearing a high waisted denim short and a white plain off shoulder. Christmas looked on my way and smiled as she walking towards me. “So, where are we going to fish?” “We are going to fish in the sea of course,” I answered, laughing at her obvious question. She grimaced. “Yea, right in the sea. Ha ha ha! Whatever.” She said sarcastically and suddenly laugh like crazy.      I shook my head and gave her the nets and we start walking towards the Pier. The boat was there and I didn't ask for any sailor to bring us in the water because I can do that. We are the only person here walking here in the beach because it's still early for everyone to go here. “You see that sailboat?” I asked pointed the direction of the sailboat. “Yea, you rented it, right?” she guessed. I laughed. “How did you know?” “Because we didn't brought that when we came here yesterday,” she answered. “Yea, right. Hahaha!” “By the way, aren't we going to have a sailor?” Christmas asked, looking for somebody around us. “We don't need a sailor because I am the sailor,” I replied while taking out now the anchor of the boat. She laughed. “You are the sailor, huh?” “Yea, I am already your sailor since the first time we started fishing here.” “Okay.” She laughed like she isn't believing me. “I'm going now at the boat.” She took with her the tackle box, rods and the nets in the boat.      After I take out the anchor, I joined Christmas and start the engine of the boat. We are going to fish in the middle of the beach where we used to sail before. While I am driving the boat, the long straight hair of Christmas is flying as the wind touches on her. She was standing in the bow pulpit, shouting like we are in the top of the mountain. “So, tell me am I good at fishing?” she asked while settling the lure in the hook of her rod. “Yea, you are a better fisher than me,” I answered, “I hope you are still.” “Hmm, we'll see if I am really good fisher,” she said and placed the hook into the water. “Hey! That's not fair! Wait for me,” I said and quickly off the engine. I stopped the boat here in the middle of the beach and the huge ferris wheel can still be seen from here. I took my rod and joined her in the bow pulpit. “You are cheating.” “I'm not.” She laughed. “You are just really slow. Hahaha!” “If I wasn't in love with you, I already push you down in the water for always laughing at me,” I murmured but I know she heard me. “Whatever, Carlos. Let's catch more fish and grill it in our dinner. Maybe there's a grill  where we can rented at the Pier, right?” “Yea, in Pier Burger. I know someone there and he will let us borrow later,” I replied.      Christmas and I spent our time fishing here in the bow pulpit. We already caught a two perch that is in our bucket and it's a little bit difficult to catch some fish now than before. We spent two hours in catching those perchs in the bucket and seems we are going to wait again to catch another one. I looked Christmas in my side and she is silently waiting to hook another one. “Are you okay, Love?” I broke the silence between us. “Yea, I'm okay. Why do you ask?” “You are too serious there.” I laughed. “I just feel my head aching a little bit but I'm okay. You don't have to worry.” She smiled. “Are you sure?” I asked to confirm because she seems like she is just saying it for me not to worry. “If you are not really feeling well, we can go back now. It seems there's no fish here anymore.” She shook her head. “No let's just move there.” She pointed the place where she want to move. “Maybe there's a lot of fish there.” She smiled. “Okay, if it's what you want. Stay here and I will start the engine,” I said and left him in the bow pulpit to move the boat. I was about to turn on the engine but it isn't working. I tried again but it seems there a problem in the machine. “Is there a problem?” Christmas asked looking at my way. “Yea, the engine doesn't cooperate,” I answered. “Can you fix it, right?” “Of course I can. I'm just going to check the deck if there's a tool that I can use,” I replied. “Okay,” she replied and go back fishing with her rod. I goes down in the deck to look for something to use. I guess the engine doesn't have its fuel anymore. He might not checkef the fuel of this sailboat as he rented this for me. I hope I can find a bottle of fuel here. “Did you find any–” “Are you saying something, Love?” I asked here in the deck, “I'm still searching here but I couldn't f–gotcha!” I suddenly smirked as I saw a bottle of fuel where I think it's enough to take us back in the Pier, “I already found one. I'm coming up!” I said and immediately get back in the cockpit. My forehead knotted when I didn't saw Christmas where she should me. She was just in bow pulpit when I goes to the deck. As I saw her rod in left at the end of the bow pulpit, I quickly run there and my eyes widened as I saw Christmas floating in the water unconsciously. “Christmas!” I called her and jump off in the water to take her.
