We are here now at the entrance of Santa Monica Pier. When Christmas suddenly stop, I also stopped as well. She was staring what is written in the entrance seems she was have a thoughts of something. I want to read what is in her mind but I can't.

This is the day I came again here and I'm happy that Christmas is the one that I am with. It is feels like just before and the same but it ain't. The place changed a little bit but the small amusement park, concession stands, and areas for views and fishing are still here. They stayed the same but she is the only one who changed.

“Is there something wrong?” I asked.

“I knew this place,” she answered that made my hope alive.

“R-really? You knew this?”

“Yea, I saw this one of the movie I watched before. I just forgot the title.” She chuckled. “I was only watching this place on a movie but now here I am. It's funny.”

“Oh, movie,” I said sounded a little disappointed.

“Yep!”

“Do you know why I brought you here?” I asked and we are now walking inside.

“Why? Is this has to do with me? In bringing back my memories?”

I smiled. “Yea, this place is our favorite to go every weekends.” I answered. “I'm hoping after this or while we are having here, you suddenly remember.”

“I see.” She nodded. “What if I still can't remember? What would you do? Would you let me go back to my life now?” She suddenly stopped and faced me waiting for my answer.

I shook my head. “No, I will not give up if this will going to fail. There is still another way. Besides this is not the only place we usually go before.”

“Okay, whatever.” She laughed and continued walking.

“What are you laughing at?” I asked in frowned.

“I'm just thinking if you already give a good impression to me when you showed up in the house, maybe I didn't hate you but you are absolutely an asshole,” she answered, “That's why I hated you. You almost got me killed and Kashia, my friend.”

“I'm sorry. I'm just lost that moment to the point I didn't think first what I am doing,” I replied, “You suddenly gone and I waited for your calls and then I will find you got an amnesia.”

“Can we eat first before we continue this?” she asked, holding her tummy.

“Okay, let's go to Pier Burger. You will love their food there.” I hold her hand and take her at Pier Burger.

As we got inside, I start ordering our food while Christmas is waiting to our table near in the doorway. There are only limited tables here because mostly people taking out their order. I ordered for both of us a double Pier Burger, Fresh Brewed Iced Tea and a Frozen Custard- Sundaes. These are what we usually ordered here back then. I hope she can still remember the taste.

“Woah, I can't wait to eat all of this,” she said excitedly.

“You can now eat it, Love,” I said that made her stop, “What?” I laughed.

She shook her head and laughed as well. “Nothing.” She said and start eating her burger and I did the same. “I do remember that I woke up in a hospital.” Christmas suddenly said that made me stop eating.

“And?” I asked waiting for her to continue.

“When I woke up there's a woman with me and asked me what's my name. The thing that I could remember that moment is my name, nothing more. Then she told me that she is my mom and start telling me everything who I really was.”

I hissed. “Start telling who you really are? And you believed her?”

“Yea, besides I don't have any idea about myself. So, I don't have any choice but to believe on what my mom telling me.”

“She isn't your real mom, Christmas.”

She shrugged her shoulder. “But that is what I believed because I don't have any memories that you are believing that was really me.”

I nodded. “Okay, I understand but...” I paused, looking at her eyes.

“Do you now believe me that I am telling you the truth?” I asked.

“Okay,” I only replied and continued eating my food.

After we done eating in Pier Burger, we decided to go to the beach where people are swimming. Christmas and I are just sitting here in the beach chairs we rented under the umbrella we are sharing. She was now wearing a two piece bikini while I am only wearing my denim short. Everyone here in the beach is on their attire so are we. “Are you not going to join them?” Christmas interrupted my thoughts.

“Why only me? We can join them together,” I replied while looking the people having their time on the water.

“I can't swim,” she replied that made me laughed, “What is funny?”

“It is been years but you still don't know how to swim. This is the actual scene we had before. It's like a deja vu,” I answered.

“I just don't feel safe when the water is already deep.”

“That what you had said.” I smiled that made her stop.

She laughed as if it's unbelievable. “It's funny.”

“Yea,” I replied and stood up, offering my hand to her, “Let's go.”

Her forehead knotted. “Huh? Where?”

“We are going to join them.”

“No, I will stay–ahh!”

“Put me down, Carlos!” She ordered but I didn't listen. “They are staring on us. This is embarrassing! Put me down!”

“I can't hear you. Hahaha!” I keep on walking till we reach on the water.

“Put me down! Put me down!” she said while hitting my back but I didn't mind.

“Do you want me to put you down?” I asked as I stopped walking.

“Yes! Put me down now!”

“Okay.” I dropped her in the water that is only level to our knee.

“Why did you drop me?!” She glared while herself is already wet by the water.

“You are the one who told me to put you down. So, ain't my problem, Love.” I laughed.

“Ahh, you want to play game, huh? Okay, let's play!” She suddenly pushed me down in the water. “Hahaha!”

“Hey! It is not fair!” I said, splashing the water all over to her using my hand.

“Ahh! Stop doing that!” She copied what I am doing.

“You can't beat me,” I said and run away from her.

“Where are you going? Wait for me!” Christmas yelled while chasing me in the water.

We filled with laughs and it seems everything just came back how we are before. I can't remember the last time how I heard her laugh and I will love to hear it every second, minute, and hour that I am with her. We chase each other in the water while splashing each of us and I tried to taught her to swim but she couldn't learn. That's why we gave up and end up here in the sand, waiting for the sun to set. There are only few people here with us remained who wants also to watch the sunset. Christmas in my side is making a sand castle and an evil smile showed up on my face.

“That is ugly!” I said and destroyed her castle.

“How dare you!” She pushed me and hit my arm. Now she is sadistic.

“I told you it's ugly.” I laughed.

“You are a killjoy.” She rolled her eyes and rest in the sad, looking at the sky.

I joined her. “Did you enjoy?”

“Hmm, yea, a little bit I guess?” She chuckled.

“Why are you overacting there? You asked me and I answered.” She laughed like I was a big joke.

“Let's go back in the hotel. I'm already tired and I want to change.” She took her hand and start walking without waiting me.

I heaved a sigh and followed her quickly. We are now walking back at the hotel, holding our clothes we just left in the sand. As we entered in the hotel, the clerk greeted us we just replied a smile to her. I opened our room since I am the only one who's holding the key.

“Christmas,” I called her before she could get inside the bathroom.

“What?” she asked casually.

“Are you mad? I don't like how silent you are. Tell me if you are mad.” I walked closer to her.

“I'm not mad. Why would I be?”

“I don't know but I feel like you are?”

She laughed. “You are overthinking. I'm going now at the bathroom to clean myself.” She was about to pass me when I pulled her waist to me. “C-carlos.”
