There's a big wall here. Should I ask Cynthia about it? Teka, baka pagalitan naman ako.
Tinignan ko ng mabuti yung wall. I mean, mukha kasing maganda para maging bakod. I wonder what's on the other side of this wall?
I just hope there's nothing weird on the other side or a monster waiting for me to get eaten.
This is so much better than my garden. Tipong alagang-alaga talaga.
Wait, are those chamomile flowers? There's even jasmine and daisies! At tuluyan na nga akong lumusot doon sa butas. Those flowers got me excited. Is this the reason why that questionable flickering light led me here? If so, thank you, disco light.
I already knew all of this dahil nung buhay pa si Kuya, inihanda na niya ako sa lahat. He told me everything I need to know about the factions ngunit parati niyang sinasabi sa akin na gamitin ko ang magic ko sa tamang panahon.
I was left clueless, when is that right time?
Even Mason and Ate Celine had no idea what my power is, tanging si Kuya Dylan at ako lang ang nakakaalam. They didn't bother to ask though.
But all is well dahil I'm skilled when it comes to weapons, I can use them to pass this meet even without showing my magic. My brother taught me how to use weapons, at hindi lang ako naging maalam sa paggamit nito, I was skilled. I'm good with fighting even without using my magic.
I used to come here often when my brother was still a court head, mas lalong gumanda ang capital, it looks more majestic.
After all, it's one of the main events of the year.
Do your best, your brother is watching you." Mason gave me a smile and we started walking toward the gate.
When we reached the entrance, the lady asked for my name to confirm my attendance and gave me a black bracelet, an indication that I'm qualified for the first round.
Tumalikod ako para harapin si Mason. Masaya ko itong pinakita sakanya.
"Mason, look." I said while showing him my right hand where the bracelet is placed. He replied with a smile while patting my head.
As I was walking inside the hall, doon ko lang napansin na nasa mahigit I didn't want to put too much makeup on especially because we will be walking in the summer heat.
I went downstairs and Matty was already standing beside our couch while he was on his phone. He looked at me and smiled. "Tara na?"
I grinned and nodded. I walked toward him and held his arm. "Let's go."
"Callie, Matteo, where are you going?" mom said as she descended the stairs with dad.
Matt smiled.
"I'll call the driver," dad said.
I gave my parents a pleading look because they're too protective but I really wanted to have a nice stroll with Matt.
"Magdala kayo ng bodyguards," dad said.
Mom nodded in agreement. "Hindi kami papayag kung wala and be home by 7, okay?" She also listed down some ground rules that I actually did not listen to.
I pouted because I didn't want the bodyguards to ruin the date and I hate how there are so many rules but it wasn't like I can do anything about it.
Matt squeezed my hand as he agreed to my parents' requirements. I held onto him as we walked outside the house.
Matt talked to my bodyguards about the safety risks and how they will keep me safe. I frowned at him when he looked at me.
Matt opened an umbrella and put it over our heads. He made me hold on to his arm so I did but I was still annoyed that he was being like my parents when it came to my safety.
"Bakit?" Matt asked me as we walked outside our subdivision.
I pouted. "I don't like how you're letting mom and dad control us. You can say no to them."
He sighed and put the umbrella in his left hand and wrapped his right arm around me. "I know that but your parents' reasons for protecting you are valid."
"I'm not in danger, Matty, and we're just a few meters away from the subdivision." I sighed.
I sighed and leaned my head on Matt's arm because I know that I wouldn't win if I kept pushing that I don't need protection from my bodyguards especially when we were close to our homes. "You all are being overprotective."
He chuckled and patted my arm. "Let me be protective, Cat."
