Almost all the chapters are unedited, and I had a drastic changed in my plot, so I have to re-write almost every part to avoid confusions, and so. I'm editing the whole book, so events, characters, even the smallest part will be edited.  Mahigpit na yakap ng mga magulang ko at naabutan get on the boardwalk, limping but Warrion immediately took my waist and pulled me softly towards his body.

Hindi na ako nanglaban, inikot ko ang aking braso sa kanyang balikat at inalalayan n'ya ako papunta sa boardwalk at sa paglalakad.

Then I saw Caspian with his wide smile, hawak sa baywang si Lars at nang-aasar ang ngisi n'ya nang lumapit sa amin.

"Kumusta, love birds? Are you two a couple now?" Excited na tanong nito pero marahas lang akong tumikhim.

"We're busy, Kuya, I have to get Miss Almedarez home." Warrion's voice filled my ear.

I froze, I saw how Caspian's mouth parted in shock pero napatalon ito sa suntok ni Lars sa balikat.

"Shhh, kitang hindi sila maayos! Bida-bida ka?" Lars hissed and Caspian's eyes widened more, looking at us.

"How come?" Nagpabalik-balik ang tingin n'ya sa amin.

"I have to go, Kuya. Mamaya na." Ani Warrion at muli akong inalalayan.

Hindi na ako muling nagsalita, nagtapon lang ako ng maliit na ngiti kay Lars na mukhang malungkot at si Caspian na gulat rin roon.

We reached Warrion's car and it was the slowest yet the most painful ride I had in my life.

Hindi ako nagsasalita at ganun rin s'ya, pilit na nagseseryoso at muling nagiging malamig pero kita ko ang lungkot sa mga mata n'ya.

Tanging ang tunog lang ng radyo at ang tunog ng hangin sa nakabukas na bintana ang nagbigay ng tunog sa byahe hanggang sa makarating sa mansyon.

Mahigpit na yakap ng mga magulang ko at naabutan now..." Bulong ko sa hangin.

Then, a familiar scent filled my nose.

Isang lingon ang ginawa ko at halos mawalan ako ng hangin nang makita si Warrion sa tabi ko.

He was wearing a black longsleeves folded up to his forearm, ang magulong buhok ay mas humaba pero hindi pa rin mawawala ang kakisigang taglay.

My heart hammered painfully.

He was looking at the stars, tahimik at may distansya sa akin.

"It's beautiful, right?" He said faintly, staring at the dark sky.

"Yes," I murmured, staring at him.

Gustong-gusto kong umiyak at lumapit para dambahin s'ya ng yakap pero hindi pwede. Hindi maaari.

Hindi na.

"You know what that says?" He said, staring at it.

"W-What?"

"They say, look at the night sky and allow the stars to remind you why darkness is necessary."

My tears fell, unknowingly.

Naramdaman ko nalang ang basa sa pisngi ko at nang hindi pa punasan ni Warrion iyon ay nanatili lang ito sa pisngi ko.

"W-War."

"Don't cry," He smiled sadly at me. "These tears don't deserve to touch that face of yours."

I sniffed, mas bumigat ang puso ko at mas lumapit s'ya para punasan ang luha ko.

"In our lives, we just don't just live in the light. Sa byahe, hindi lang tayo sa liwanag dadaan, remember the tunnels? Dadaan tayo doon, sasaglit sa dilim pero may liwanag paglabas." He murmured, drying my tears.

"Minsan, sa buhay natin, kailangan ng dilim kasi masyado tayong naging komportable sa liwanag. We all thought that life should be just happiness and rainbows, it should be lights and unicorns but it is not. We can't forever stay in the light, Win. It's a part of life that we have to be in the dark in order to appreciate the light, our life."

Hinawakan ko ang kamay n'ya sa pisngi ko at mas napaiyak.

"It's not your fault," His soft, gentle voice filled my ear. "It will never be your fault."

"B-But I dragged her there...If I wasn't foolish! Kung nakinig lang ako 'nung sabihin n'yang humingi nalang ng tulong kaysa ang sumunod ay hindi kami makukuha! S-Sana...Sana buhay pa ang Ate!"

"S-She saved me, Warrion! She saved me! Ni hindi ko manlang s'ya natulungan! It's my fault!"

"She saved you because she loves you," He calmly said. "The love she has for you should be treasured, the love she has for you, her sister, saved you. Please, Winter, live... Don't cage yourself in that darkness. Don't waste your chance to live in blaming yourself of her death."

"B-But--"

"You deserved the love you are receiving now. You deserved your life. You deserved your chance." He said, his eyes bloodshot with unshed tears.

Tumango ako ng marahan, ang luha'y patuloy na nalalaglag sa mata habang nakatitig sa kanya.

"And...I'm sorry, baby." He suddenly murmured. "For always failing you."

Hindi ako umimik, patuloy lang na tumutulo ang luha ko habang nakatitig sa kanya.

"I know...you have to move forward. You have to move on and in order to do that, you have to accept things, forgive yourself and leave the bad things behind."

Nangatal ang labi ko nang makita ang lungkot sa mga mata n'ya.

"You will have to forget me...to move on." His voice broke. Nang tumulo ang luha sa mata n'ya ay nag-umpisa nanamang tumulo ang luha ko.

"Sorry, Win, for all the bad things I did. I am sorry for trying to get into your life, for breaking your heart." Marahang hinaplos n'ya ang mukha ko.

"I-I'm sorry for blaming you too," Bulong ko. "H-Hindi mo naman kasalanan ang sa Ate, ang nangyari, my mind is not clear when I thought of that."

"It is my fault too," He smiled sadly. "Kasi...habang buhay kong pagsisisihan na hindi ko kayo nailigtas kaagad."

"W-War..."

"You are the best gift I'd ever had, baby." His voice trembled. "You are the light in my darkness, you lift me up whener I feel down. Your smile will always be in my dreams."

"W-War..." I cried.

"When I'm gone, I hope you always keep the happiness inside your heart. I wished you will still maintain the positivity you always had. Be someone's light, baby, for me."

Hindi na ako nakapagsalita sa bawat paghikbi.

"Just always remember that Major Warrion loves you, so...so much." Nakita kong marahas n'ya pinunasan ang luha at umiling roon sa sarili n'ya.

"I always laugh at my cousins whenever they cry like a fool," He chuckled humorlessly. "I never thought I'd be this weak when it comes to you."

Suminghot lang ako habang nakatitig sa kanya.

"So..." He smiled, drying his tears. "Be happy?"

Hindi ako kaagad sumagot at kinagat lang ang labi ko.

"I love you, Win." He heaved a deep sigh. "I always will."

Our eyes met again, the two different kind of darkness melted into one as our faces moved closer to each other for a brief kiss.

It was painful, parang hangin lang na dumampi ang labi n'ya sa akin. I felt his tear on my cheek as he kissed me lovingly for the last time.

My eyes remained closed when I felt him pulling away and when I opened it again, I saw his back walking away and how he vanished in the dark.

That's the last time I saw him.

"Ma'am Winter! Gising na at pinapatawag ka ni Sir!" Naiinis na tinakpan ko ang mukha para hindi marinig ang boses ni Ate Linda pero hinila n'ya ang unan sa mukha ko at muling nagsalita.

"Ma'am!"

"Masakit ang ulo ko, Ate Linda." I groaned.

"Ayan kasi, inom-inom, mag lasing-lasing tapos rereklamo masakit ulo!" Pagalit pa n'ya kaya tumawa lang ako at umiling.

"Bakit ba kasi?" I asked, opening my eye.

"Papakilala raw sa'yo ni Senator ang bodyguard mo." Aniya at mabilis akong napabalikwas sa higaan ko at nanlaki ang mata.

"H-Huh?"

"Kapag lasing ba, Ma'am, nagiging bingi?" Hagikhik pa n'ya. "Juk lang, Ma'am. Papakilala ka ni Senator sa bodyguard mo."

My heart raced, tila nabuhayan nang sabihin n'ya iyon at mabilis na hinablot ang roba at tumitig sa salamin.

Inayos ko ang sabog na buhok at tinanggal ang muta. I opened my mouth to smell my breath pero napangiwi nang amoy alak kaya tumakbo ako sa CR para mabilis na magtoothbrush.

I was giddy as I ran on the stairs with my robe on to see my bodyguard.

"Nasaan na si Winter?" I heard my father asked.

"Pababa na Senator! Sir War!" Ani nito at mas nagpanting ang tenga ko.

My heart raced like crazy, sa pagbaba ko ay dali-dali akong nagtungo kay Daddy na ngumuso nang makita ako.

"Naglasing ka nanaman, Winter?" Pagalit n'ya.

"Nasaan ang bodyguard?" I asked.

Ngumuso s'ya, tumango at sumigaw.

"Linda, patawag si War." Aniya at nang marinig ko ang yapak sa likuran ko ay nagwala ang puso ko.

I was excited at saktong paglingon ko sa likuran ay s'ya ring pagsasalita ni Daddy.

"Winter, meet Warren. Your new bodyguard." He said. My shoulders fell.
