That night, when Lina and Philip returned home, she had been silent the entire drive. His sudden declaration of love utterly dumbfounded her. They had only been together for four months by that point. She didn’t expect Philip to use the “L” so soon.
Philip, being as perceptive as ever, didn’t have to ask what was wrong with Lina on their way home. He knew that confessing his feelings immediately after one of their extreme sessions caught her off guard. Hell, it had caught him off guard as well.
