"I was just kidding."
"Uh..."
She could only manage that before she flinched slightly when Rafael's large hand touched her waist and arm. Even though she knew he didn't mean anything s****l by it, she couldn't help but feel a warm flush throughout her body.
She had never been touched by a man like this before. Even Cristiano, the man she liked, had never even held her hand.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm o... kay... reeeally!"
He asked her as he supported her while walking into the alley leading to her house.
"Why the emphasis on the high pitch?"
"Not high-pitched at all, I'm just speaking normally."
Rafael laughed amusedly, engaging her in various conversations along the way, making the once far-seeming distance to her house feel surprisingly short.
