Chapter 35: The Alluring Secretary
Melissa paused for a moment before nodding in agreement to the charmingly smiling man in front of her.
“Alright, but I don't have much money. I can only treat you to noodles.”
“I'm not picky. Anything works for me.”
The young woman looked at the mixed-race man in front of her with amusement before agreeing.
“Alright, then follow me this way.”
In the end, she made a new friend—a handsome-looking guy who was half-foreign. They chatted happily, and talking to him helped her forget her troubles, if only for a little while.
“Thank you so much for treating me to noodles. I'm really full.”
He rubbed his stomach.
She laughed again.
“You act like it's your first time having noodles.”
“I’ve seen them, but never tried them. Today I did, and now I know the
