The next day

1000 Words
Back at the club Seth helped Irene climb off the back of his bike. “I have a feeling that fate is going to smile on us again soon.” Before Irene could even reply Seth had kissed her breathless, climbed onto his bike speeding off into the rising sunset. She climbed into her car. What in the hell had she gotten herself into? She headed towards the pharmacy for her morning after pill. She couldn’t quit thinking of the wild night she had just shared with basically a stranger. Irene was on autopilot the whole rest of the drive. Pulling into the pharmacy parking lot she couldn’t help but be thankful that she did not have to work today. As she entered the pharmacy her phone started buzzing in her bag. Pulling it out, the screen read that she had twenty missed messages from Jade. I better call her before she files a missing persons report Irene thought to herself. Paying for her pill, she dialed Jade’s number on the way back to her car. “Girl you had better tell me me everything!” Jade hadn’t even bothered with a greeting “I saw you leaving with that tall glass of yummy. You come over right now, I’ve got coffee and homemade cinnamon rolls.” Irene laughed. “Alright, alright. I’ll be there in about twenty minutes, I want to run home and change.” She hung up the phone and headed back to her studio apartment. She grabbed a quick shower, threw on a loose silver top, cut off shorts and grabbed her keys. She drove over to Jade’s house so they could both dish about what happened the night. Jade threw open her door and practically dragged Irene inside once she got there. “Spill the beans girl,” she squealed. The next couple of hours they both dished about the men they had met. Jade had met Brian, a young guy who liked to run marathons and worked as an electrical technician. Irene could tell that Jade was already smitten, she had already planned a third date. Irene couldn't decide if she really wanted to run into Seth again. The connection they had was undeniable however she didn't really know the first thing about him. They were just were strangers who had twisted sheets together. The very next day Irene was rushing around her apartment getting ready for work since she had overslept through three different alarms. This was totally unlike her, she was always on time and never this flustered. Seth had really gotten into her head and twisted her thoughts all around. She needed to quit mooning over her one night stand already. Her cheeks were flushed in agitation with herself as she sped off to work. Entering the back door of Java Bean she grabbed her apron and spread some flour out on her work table to start baking from scratch. An hour into baking and she had flour on her cheek and probably in her hair as well. Irene didn't mind she loved being able to bake like this and basically choose the menu for the day. She made her way up front to take a coffee break and ran straight into her ex fiance James. "Hey Rene" Irene had always hated that he called her that. "Do you think we could grab some coffee together?" James asked, his eyes were pleading. "James, I don't really want to hear any more apologies or excuses. I'm not in the mood." James didn't even listen to her protest and steered her towards a booth and pushed her into the seat. "Look I know you're mad Rene, you have every right to be. I was horrible to you and never appreciated the life that we shared together. I know my words don't mean anything so I'm hoping my actions might." James grabbed a hold of her hand. "James, the action of you in our bed with another woman was enough for me. I don't really care to see anymore of your actions." Irene said heatedly while pulling her hand out his grasp. "Please quit bothering me, anything we had in the past is just that in the past!" Irene slide out of the booth feeling furious that James was continuing to try and persuade her with his empty words. Her eyes were brimming with hot tears, she made her way to the restroom to wash off her face. After splashing some cool water on her face she began to feel much calmer. Irene pushed open the door and found herself running smack into Seth! Before she could even say hi, Seth had captured her mouth in a kiss so hot that she could swear her temperature actually rose a few degrees. When he finally let her come up for air, she found herself stammering. "How...what...my goodness..." Seth smiled, "I told you that I was going to make it a mission to find you, I decided I needed a coffee to get started and I guess the universe wants us to be together because here I am." Irene couldn't help feeling somewhat excited that he was here right now. The very man that had invaded her mind all morning so far."Well you are correct and a deal is a deal. We ran into each other again so I'm taking it as the universes sign that we could be together. However since we started off so hot and heavy I think it's only fair that we go on a proper date now." she stated. Seth tilted his head pondering. "I accept your proposal. Prepare to be wooed." "What time do you get off?" Irene laughed and shook her head at his question. "I have plans with Jade tonight so I'm actually not free." Seth gave almost a comical pout. "Fine. Can I pick you up tomorrow?" "Sure, pick me up here? I get off at noon tomorrow." Seth gave her a quick kiss "It's a deal, I'll be thinking of something fun to do." Irene felt little butterflies in her stomach at the thought of tomorrow.
