The golden arc of my daggers shattered the glowing disruptor totem into a hundred pieces. A wave of raw, ancient magic surged outward, instantly neutralizing the dark energy suppressing the wolves.
All around the courtyard, Crescent guards gasped as their inner wolves unlocked. Claws elongated and eyes flashed crimson as strength flooded back into their veins.
"The totem is down!" Lucian roared, spinning around to drive his blade into the chest of an attacking rogue. He turned to look at me, his eyes wide with absolute astonishment. "Ayla... that golden aura... how?"
"Less talking, more fighting!" I snapped, spinning on my heel to parry a heavy broadsword strike from the scarred rogue commander.
The rogue gritted his teeth, pressing down with his immense weight. "You're just a wolfless girl! You can't stop—"
Before he could finish, I unleashed the full force of my royal bloodline. Golden light flared around my body, creating a physical shockwave that threw him back ten feet. In a blur of motion, I closed the distance and disarmed him, holding my glowing dagger directly against his throat.
The remaining rogues froze in terror. Seeing their leader defeated and the Crescent wolves fully shifted, they dropped their weapons one by one and fell to their knees in surrender.
Breathing heavily, I lowered my daggers as Crescent guards rushed in to bind the intruders. The fight was over in less than ten minutes.
Lucian approached me slowly, staring at the residual gold embers flickering around my fingers. For the first time, he looked completely humbled.
"That wasn't wolf magic," Lucian whispered, his voice trembling with awe. "That was the legendary Royal Sun lineage... thought to be extinct for centuries."
"It awakened the night you rejected me," I said, wiping my blade on my sleeve and sheathing it. "Your cruelty broke my seal, Lucian. You thought you were throwing away a wolfless weakling, but you actually released a queen."
