As soon as Melian landed, she came face to face with her Father who was looking at her with disappointment and anger. She stared at him with wide eyes.
“Fa...father.. I can explain" she pleaded, Davan looked at the small crowd that had already gathered before looking back at his daughter.
“Let's go home and talk about this" His icy tone pierced through Melian's heart causing her to flinch. She gulped before following behind him.
“I thought I told you to stay inside the walls of aneathra" Davan yelled, they had already gotten home, Andria and Anna were also there watching a kneeling Melian with concern.
“I can explain father, please give me a chance" Davan glared at her.
“I don't want to hear anything, no explanation can justify you leaving aneathra" Andria held Davan hand.
“Davan let her speak please, don't be so harsh on her" Davan grunted.
“This is why she doesn't listen to us anymore because we have been too lenient with her" Melian shook her head.
“I have to admit I did want to go back when I told you I wasn't going to yesterday but the reason I went there today was because of an entire different reason" Melian's eyes were already tearing up.
“And what could that reason be my dear?" Anna asked from behind Andria. Melian looked at her father.
“I went with Elva to the old elves home, as we were talking someone called my name, I asked Elva if she was the one but she said she wasn't, then I decided to trace the voice. As I got closer, the voice became more urgent like it was telling me to hurry up. As I passed through the fence I told myself it couldn't be but it came from there Father and I was curious so I jumped down and the voice didn't just call me, it called a black gem elf too" Melian breathed out as she finished explaining. Everyone was silent for a while.
“Do you really expect me to believe that Melian?I can't believe you would make up such a lie" Melian shook her head at his words.
“It's not a lie, father , I'm telling the truth, please believe me." She was crying now, Davan turned his head away from her. Even though he was angry at her, he still couldn't stand her crying.
“Not another word from you, you would be locked in here for one week in order for you to reflect on your actions" he walked towards the door, he halted then turned back to Melian.
“I'm really disappointed in you," He said, then walked away.
“Mother, grandma" she cried to them, Anna looked at her with pity while Andria was crying with her daughter, she didn't like seeing her like this.
“I'm leaving" Andria turned away and left, Anna glanced at her before following Andria. As soon as they left Melian fell to the ground and wept like she had never wept before. She felt devastated and frustrated, frustrated because they didn't believe her and devastated because her father said he was disappointed with her. That night she fell asleep with tears in her eyes.
“Melian...." She woke up with a start at the sound of the voice, she thought she was hallucinating but then the voice spoke out again
“ Melian.." she put both palms on her ears
“ leave me alone, I don't want to go anymore" she shook her head to get rid of the voice
“Melian!!..." The voice grew urgent and it sounded like the person saying it was running.
“Why me, please, just leave me alone. I don't even have any power, I'm just a common elf" she said out loud
“It is your destiny Melian..." Melian eyes grew wide, the voice had never said anything except her name so she was shocked
“What do you mean by that??" Her question was met with silence
“Oh so now you don't want to answer me?" Still no one answered her
“Wait if this voice is calling me then that means it's also calling....Him!!" She stood up from the ground quickly and looked around, since the door was locked she would have to pass the window. She packed all the things she would need in a small bag before taking a piece of paper and writing a letter to her family. As she turned to the window tears fell from her eyes, she would miss them so much but this was meant to be done. As soon as she jumped out of the window she ran towards the fence instinctively dodging people that knew her on the way.
She finally got to the fence, as she was about to jumped it, a voice stopped her
“ Melian!!" Melian turned back and saw Elva, she breathed out
“ Thank God it's you" Elva frowned at her
“Where are you going?" Melian climbed back down the fence and stood close to Elva
“I'm going to find out the truth"
“The truth to what?"
“ Our history" Elva stared at her in confusion
“Why must you be the one to find out?" Melian shrugged
“ Because it's my destiny" she smiled at Elva
“So you are just going to leave your family and all of us?" Elva said with teary eyes
“ I'll be back soon I promise" Elva shook her head at her
“ you can guarantee that...why don't I come with you?" Melian shook her head
“ I'm the only one that can leave that's why I need to find out the truth in order for us to be able to leave here" Melian tried to reason with Elva but she wasn't having it
“ I need to go with you because you have not still discovered your powers, you need me"Melian sighed
“ I'm not going to be alone, I'll be taking this journey with a black gem elf" Elva gasped
“All the more reason for me to come with you, how do you know you can trust him?" Melian needed to devise a plan to distract Elva so she could leave, she didn't want her to be in trouble
“Elva your mother is coming" Elva quickly turned
“Where?!!" Melian used that medium to run to the fence, Elva quickly turned back and saw what she was doing. She ran towards her, unconsciously she missed her footing and fell forward on Melian's body. Their bodies glowed green as they passed the fence but none of them noticed because they were anticipating the pain they would feel when they hit the ground. When they didn't feel any impact of the ground, they opened their eyes and came face to face with Alfur and he was using his power to help them get down safely. He landed them on the floor
“Get up" they both hurriedly got up, Melian glared at him while Elva stared at him in awe, he was really handsome and that dark aura just made him more irresistible
“ I'm guessing the voice came to you too huh?" Alfur nodded at her, Elva turned to her in confusion
“ What voice?"
“ it's a long story"
“Why is your friend here and more importantly how did she pass the fence?" Melian shrugged. She was surprised too when she found out that Elva had fallen with her. Alfur narrowed his eyes at them
“Now will you tell me your name, we are going to be acquaintances after all" Melian said
“ His name is Alfur" a guy they had never seen before appeared, Melian and Elva looked at him in surprised while he looked back at with the same level of surprise but mostly at Melian
“ A Lykra" he murmured to himself, Alfur rolled his eyes at him
“ What are you doing here Damien?" Damien shrugged
“ I came to follow you on your quest" Alfur groaned
“ We don't need you" Melian frowned at Alfur's words.
“ We need all the help we can get, this journey is not going to be easy" he turned to glare at her before he sighed, she was right it wasn't going to be easy at all especially for them.
“ So are we a squad now!!?" Elva asked giddily, Melian smiled at her while the other two just rolled their eyes.
