Melian (The last lykra)

CHAPTER THREE: Black gem elf

  As soon as Andria had laid melian on the bed she slept off, Andria stared at her daughter before touching her forehead

  “ I always knew you were special, I'll let nothing happen to you my darling even if it causes me my life" she leaned down and kissed her forehead before leaving to find davan, as she exited she saw davan walking towards melian room, she went over to hug him

  “ Is she going to be okay?," She looked up at him, he nodded

 “ All we have to do is teach her how to control her powers," Andria sighed

  “ How are we going to do that when we don't even know what powers she has?," She asked him worriedly, davan kissed her forehead

  “ We will have to find out by ourselves, come on my dear you need to rest." they left to her Chambers.

   Melian finally woke up, she felt so much stronger than she already was, she needed to talk to her mum and Dad and ask them what was happening to her and what is a lykra, she raised her head and saw her grandma Anna resting on the chair, she walked over to her but then paused by the mirror she noticed her eyes were green, does that mean she was a green gem elf? She asked herself

   “ Grandma, wake up," Anna opened her eyes before smiling at her

  “ If it isn't my little lykra, I always knew you were unique," Anna was having mixed emotions on Melian being a lykra but she won't show the bad side only the good, melian stared at her in confusion which was expected

 “ Grandma why is my eyes green, does it have anything to do with me being a lykra and what is a lykra?," Anna sighed then patted the spot next to her, melian sat down

   “ Lykras are green gem elves but the only difference between then and normal gem elves is that they have more power," melian eyes widened, she stared at her hands

  “ Really?, What happened to them then?," Melian looked at her grandmother curiously, Anna was not comfortable telling the truth so she improvised

  “ They vanished, no one has ever seen a lykra till you," she smiled at melian, melian seemed to be in thoughts 

   “ Grandma what is a black gem elf?, I heard people talking about it," Anna's eyes widened, she didn't want to talk about them with her granddaughter

  “ Listen to me carefully, black gem elves are evil, so never speak of them again." melian nodded her head but she was not done asking about them

 “ Where are they?, I've never seen anyone before," melian patiently waited for Anna's answer, Anna sighed, she always knew her grand daughter was a curious one

 “ That is because they live beyond the city gates, now enough of them let's go eat I'm sure you are hungry." Anna took hold of her hand and led her towards the dining table, melian wanted to ask more questions but she knew her grandmother was done answering her so she kept it to herself for now, upon reaching the table, they saw davan and Andria, melian ran to her parents

 “ Mother I want sweet potatoes," Andria smiled down at her

  “ The cook has already prepared it, come on let's go fill your little tummy up," Andria led her to the table, davan smiled at his wife and daughter, they were both his world

 “ She asked about a black gem elf," Davan turned to Anna

 “ I told her they were evil and they lived beyond the gates but knowing melian I know she's not satisfied with what I told her," Davan gaze hardened

 “ What do you suggest we do?," All davan wanted was he's child safety nothing else

  “ You can't lock her up because that will just make her rebellious, I suggest you tell her everything she needs to know so as to know the danger that lies with the black gem elves." Anna then walked away to the table, Davan was confused on what to do, he decided he was going to tell her after she has been fed but never did.

   Melian was exhausted, after ten years of practicing her powers all she could do now was heal..of all powers it was healing?, she didn't like it but if she kept pushing herself like this she was going to break down, davan jogged up to her

  “ Don't worry melian you will get it someday," melian nodded, she would get it one day but it was taking too long and she was getting impatient, just then her best friend Elva ran to her

  “ Hey melian, wanna play?," Melian looked at her father and he nodded allowing her to go to her friend

  “ Be back before six." melian nodded and he walked away, she turned to her friend

  “ How are you?, I heard your brother is a brown gem elf congrats," melian smiled at her friend but Elva just scoffed

  “ Ever since he learnt how to use he's powers he has been bugging me, I almost threw him into a river," Elvin and melian laughed at this before melian frowned

  “ Your little brother already figured out how to use he's powers huh?," Elva looked at her and her eyes softened

  “ Don't worry melian you'll get it someday and I can't wait to see the powers a lykra has," Elva smiled at her before turning around and walking away, melian stood there for a while before following her friend

 “ So what are we going to play?" They finally got to their special meeting place which was by the lowest fence in all of Aneathra, if you climbed something high enough you could probably see the outside world that's why they loved this spot, her friends waved at them when they saw them coming, her friends consisted of haga, iston and adriana 

  “ Where have you guys been?, we were about to play pass the ball, do you guys see this ball?, It's my brother's favorite so please be careful." they all nodded at iston, then the game started, we played like this before Melian came up with a better way to play because it was getting boring

 “ Let's play it another way because it's getting boring," they all nodded in agreement

  “ What do you suggest?," Haga asked

“The person catching the ball can stand where ever the person wants to stand but it has to be far away from the person throwing and the person catching it has to catch the ball no matter what." they all agreed it was a fun game and the game begun, it was fun for a while till haga went to stand in front of the low fence and melian was the one throwing, too caught up in the game she didn't know haga was standing directing behind the fence, she threw the ball and it flew directly pass the fence

 “ Oh my God my brother's going to kill me." iston was hyperventilating, melian looked at him then suggested she go get it for him

 “Are you mad girl?, no one has ever stepped out of aneathra's walls," Elva told her but melian waved her off

  “ It will only take a second I'm sure it didn't go that far" after much persuasion they finally agreed for her to go but she had to shout if she needed help and she agreed, melian got to the fence and jumped down, what she saw made her breath hitch.
