All that could be heard on the dining table was clatter of plates and spoons. Melian looked at her father who had been giving her the silent treatment after yesterday's events. She groaned before slamming her palm on the table causing everyone present to look at her.
“Dad are you really going to ignore me forever, I already said I'm sorry" Davan turned back to his food.
“Only when you have learnt your lesson" Andria gave her a pitied look, Melian sighed.
“Father I've learnt my lesson, I won't do it again" her father turned and stared straight into her eyes, she gulped before crossing her fingers behind her back, her father smiled before turning away from her
“You are lying," Melian gasped.
“You are my daughter, I know when you are lying or not and don't think I don't know your fingers are crossed" Melian stared at him with her mouth opened, her father did know her really well, she sighed then raised her hands in surrender.
“Okay....okay I promise, I've learnt my lesson now please can you stop giving me the silent treatment hmm?" She pouted at him and he sighed.
“Alright now stop bugging me" Melian grinned while Andria and Anna watched them with faint smiles on their faces.
After breakfast, Andria took Melian's hands and led her to her study. As her mother she felt like she was partly responsible for Melian's behavior so she wanted to talk to her.
“Sit down let's talk" Melian frowned at her but sat down.
“About yesterday, Melian I want you to know the severity of leaving aneathra, no one knows what lies beyond the walls because no one has ever left and can't, your father and I don't even know how you got out in the first place" Andria looked at her daughter calculatingly, but Melian was thinking of something else, something wasn't right.
“Mother you mean no one can leave aneathra and nothing can come in?" Andria hesitantly nodded, she didn't know where her daughter was going with this.
“Mother don't you see, something is wrong, if the black gem elf's were the problem then why were we locked in this place?" Andria gasped.
“We aren't locked, they kept us here for our safety and....."
“They locked us here mother and another thing why am I the only one that can leave don't you think it has something to do with me being a lykra?" Andria didn't say anything because she didn't understand, Melian didn't understand too that's why she needed to hear the other part of the story soon.
“Mother if you are worried about me don't be, I can take care of myself, I'll train harder so that I'll be able to understand my powers very soon okay?" Andria smiled at her then nodded, Melian stood up.
“Well I have to go now mother, Elva and I promised to help at that old elf center" Andria wanted to say something but was interrupted by a knock on the door.
“Princess Melian, Elva is here" Melian smirked, just in time, she turned back to wave goodbye to her mother before going out to meet Elva, and as soon as Elva saw her she ran towards her.
“Tell me everything, what did you see?Who did you meet?Come on, tell me!!" Melian flicked her forehead.
“Ow!!" Elva grimaced and rubbed her forehead.
“I'll tell you everything on the way, let's go" she walked away leaving a grumbling Elva to follow behind.
“So tell me what happened?" Melian groaned, they had already arrived at the old elf center and we're tending to the old elves when Elva pulled her aside.
“If I tell you this, you can't tell anyone, not even our friends, got it?" Elva nodded quickly and looked at Melian in anticipation.
“I saw a black gem elf," Elva gasped loudly.
“You saw what?" Elva yelled making others look at them funny, Melian slapped her on the head.
“Stop yelling" Elva rubbed her head
“Sorry" she muttered.
“So was it a he or a she?If it was a she, was she beautiful? and how powerful was she? and if it was a male, likewise question?" Elva added.
“It was a male and I didn't really get to see his face properly but his eyes were so dark that that's all you could see but then he spoke, he voice was so deep it gave me the chills and then something like a black mist appeared on his body, it was unlike anything I've ever seen before" Melian breathed out, Elva stared back at her with astonishment.
“If I were you I would have ran away the moment I saw his eyes, you are really brave Melian he could have hurt you".
“But he didn't," Melian added, making Elva sigh.
“I wonder why, with the history between a lykra and a black gem elf, I would expect their kind to be angry with yours' ' Melian sighed.
“I wonder why also and by the tone of his voice he was angry at my presence" Elva seemed to be in deep thoughts.
“And do you know what's more strange?" Elva stared at her.
“What?"
“It's like he knew I was coming, it seems before I jumped down he was already looking at the fence" Elva rubbed her forehead.
“Haaa! This is giving me a headache" Melian nodded. It was giving her a headache too.
“Melian..." Melian turned around and searched for the voice.
“Did you hear my name?" Elva shook her head, Melian shrugged, maybe it was her imagination.
“Melian...." She turned around again but no one seemed to be talking to her.
“Melian, what is it?" Elva asked worriedly.
“I don't know.... I need to go, I think maybe someone's looking for me" Before Elva could answer she ran out of the old elf center and followed the voice, she turned and turned and turned but still didn't see who was calling her, when she passed by the fence, she halted then turned to look at it before shaking her head then walked away from it.
“Melian...." She halted then turned to the fence before her eyes widened, it's coming from there!!. She moved towards it slowly.
“Melian...!" She gasped, she could hear it more clearly now, she turned to look around if anyone was watching her but no one was around, she turned back to look at the fence, she hesitated, what if the person calling her wanted to harm her, she took a deep breath.
“Well I'm about to find out" she headed towards the fence and jumped down, as soon as she landed and raised her head up, her eyes came in contact with a pair of familiar black eyes.
“Why did you call me here!!!??" They both said at the same time.
