The hospital hadn't been too far away from Kayara's place so they reached her house in just half an hour. Alex parked the car by the curb to not disturb the flow of other vehicles on the road.
Kayara quietly got down from the car and thanked Alex for the ride. She moved to cross the road, while the man in car was just looking at her silhouette moving away. But after a few steps something stopped her and Alex frowned wondering why she wasn't walking.
