Kayara tapped her fingers on the bar counter with bored expressions, waiting for her friend alone. Amidst the rush and dazzle of the party, she heard a pair of heavy footsteps near her. And before she knew it, a tall young unconventionally handsome man was giving her company.
Kayara turned to see who it was. Her body swayed slightly when she turned because the magic of the drink already started its work of intoxicating her. But fortunately, she managed to regain her balance before collapsing.
"You..." she blurted, realising who the man was, "You p*****t! What are you doing here? Wait...wait...are you stalking me?" she narrowed her eyes at him in disbelief.
She was screaming now. "And what did you say to me that time in the restaurant? Huh? Do you really think that I didn't hear you?" she asked, raising her brows with hands folded in front of chest.
"That was..."
Before the man could say anything Kayara started again, "No...no! First tell me what are you doing here? You can't be stalking me, that's absurd." she examined the man from head to toe before concluding, "Oh yes....you must work here…right? Are you a bartender?" "Hm... seems like that. Okay , get me a drink please." After her insignificant bickering and guesses, she ordered him around.
The young man gave a million dollar smile instead of getting infuriated after listening to her irrelevant logic.
Not taking any offence, "But miss you are already drunk. It will affect your health," he started playing the part she gave him.
"Don't argue. Did you forget your job? I'll complain to the hotel if you don't follow my orders. Now go and get me a drink," she shouted at the young man.
"Sorry miss, I'll take your order, please don't complain," he acted like a poor bartender whose job was on stake.
"Okay, I'll..no-not." By that time, the alcohol had taken complete control over her and her body swayed again. This time, more strongly.
Before she fell, the young man had already leaned forward when he saw her swaying and grasped her slender waist as quick as lightning to stop her from hitting the floor.
"Hehethank you for saving me," Kayara giggled, hanging loosely on the man's arm.
"Destiny has reunited us again. God seems to have something else for both of us," he stared deep into her eyes and murmured in a very low voice.
"Hmm..? Did you say something?" she frowned childishly.
"No…not at all" The young man unexpectedly giggled under his stern face. The ice in his personality was starting to thaw a bit right then, like this drunk girl had made a c***k in it.
"By the way, I don't even know your name," Kayara slurred, her eyes glassed over but still looking into his eyes.
"I'm Alexander Smith. And you are?" he asked with a smile.
"You are Alex…an…der Sm…" She fainted in his arms, leaving her words incomplete.
Alexander smiled wistfully and helped her lay on a couch carefully. Before he could sit beside her, a voice called his name.
"Alex...big bro, grandpa is calling you, it's urgent."
It was another young handsome man in his early twenties. He was also glowing with his bright skin and had perfect body features like his brother, Alex. But his nature and aura was the exact opposite of his brother.
The brother had a cool and happy go lucky persona. He believed in enjoying life without any extra tension. A mischievous smile always curved up on his handsome face, which made him flaunt a more approachable personality, unlike Alexander. People who were intimidated by Alexander's personality felt comfortable and safe with this young man.
Again unlike Alex, he was not a well-known personality in the city as he didn't enter the business world yet. Moreover, he preferred to live like an ordinary citizen without any name or fame. Currently, he was completing his graduation in one of the city's universities.
"Jacob, come here," he called him. "Stay with her until I return, alright? I'm leaving her to you, if something happens to her then you know what I'm going to do to you," he warned him in his usual cold and terrifying tone.
When Jacob registered who was there on the couch he froze for a second. What he just saw? A girl with his brother? Had the world flipped upside down? But soon, he collected himself and managed to act normally.
"Don't you trust your young brother? By the way, who is this beauty, huh?" Jacob asked with a casual smirk, completely unaffected by Alex's cold attitude.
"Stay away from her. Just guard her standing here until my return," he ordered and left without thanking or sparing a second glance at his younger brother.
