You arrived back at Sam apartment, you were staying there over the summer since your mom was working overtime, Sam got his own apartment a few weeks before summer.
"Remind me why I can't go home? I'm eighteen I can look after myself." You questioned.
"Look it's better for you here, it's safer." Sam explained.
"Cheer up we can have a girls night." Madison smiles, excitedly.
"Why are you being nice to me, a girls night would be fun though." You're a little sceptical about her behaviour.
"Like I said I'm trying to be a better person." She smiles, Madison hugs you and toddles off into another room, leaving you with Sam and Zack.
"You don't have to stay, Zack." You glance over at him.
"It will be fun." He smiles at you reassuringly.
A week had passed, there was 1 week of Summer left, you received a text from an unknown number. 'watch your back'
This has to be from Nate's pack. You tuck your phone into your pocket and head back into the living room. You see Zack sitting on the sofa.
"You're up, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the movies, we can watch that new horror movie you were telling me about last week." He glances up at you with a smile.
"Sure." You reply quickly.
"Awesome. Let's go." Zack replies enthusiastically.
You head out to the movies, Zack drives you. You're really quiet for most of the ride, which apparently is noticeable to Zack.
"What's going on with you?" Zack asks, concerned.
"nothing, I'm fine." You reply.
"You're not fine, you're not your usual self" He responds.
"What exactly is my usual self?" You laugh.
"You're usually bubbly and bouncing off walls hyper." Zack chuckles.
"And today?" You question.
"You seem sad." Zack replies, gloomily.
You sigh, preparing to tell Zack what went on.
"I got an anonymous text." You blurted.
"What did it say?" He asked.
"That I have to watch my back" You flip your phone to show him.
"Someone is clearly playing a stupid joke on you." His tone angrier than before.
"I hope that's all it is." You remark.
"Any idea who it is?" Zack questions?
"no, none." You reply.
"Let's get to the movies, hopefully it will take your mind off of things." Zack smiles.
You arrive at the movies, you head inside to the snack counter to grab tickets and popcorn, Zack turns to look at you.
"What kind of popcorn do you want?" He smiles.
"Sweet and Salty." You smile back.
"A girl after my own heart. Anything else?" Zack beams.
"Soda please." You smile.
"Cherry right?" Zack beams.
"You remembered." You blush a little since he remembered your favourite soda.
You and Zack order your food, after a couple of hours, you leave the movies.
"That was better than I thought it was going to be." Zack commented.
"Not a horror dude?" You giggle.
"Not usually." Zack half smiles.
Your phone begins to ring, you pull out your phone but don't recognise the number, you answer anyway.
"Hey it's Madison. Sam gave me your number, dinner reservations at 5, it's a fancy place, double date with Zack?" She asked giddy.
"I guess we could be there." You reply.
"Awesome, see you." The line goes dead, you return to Zacks side.
"Everything okay?" Zack asks concerned.
"Yeah, it was Madison, she wanted to ask if we wanted to join her and Sam for dinner, reservations at 5 apparently it's a double date." You explain.
"Sounds like it could be fun, we should change." Zack replies.
Zack drives you to Sam's apartment, you change and head to the restaurant. You arrive at the restaurant, Sam and Madison are already there.
"I'm so glad you could make it." Madison hugs you, she's wearing a beautiful floor length red gown.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world." You reciprocate the hug.
You sit down and begin to eat, a short while later you've finished. Zack looks over at you.
"Sam we should give these too a minute." Madison nudges Sam and they both exit the table.
"I was wondering if you'd do me the honours of being my girlfriend." Zack looks at you nervously.
"Yes!" You're practically squealing the restaurant down.
"Great, let's go and tell Madison and Sam the news." You both dash off to find them.
Zack practically drags you out of the restaurant with excitement.
"What's the hurry?" Madison laughs.
"She said yes!" Zack beams at them.
"wait you knew?" You look at Madison stunned.
"Yes, what are friends for?" Madison giggled.
You pull Madison into a hug. "I'll see you later." Madison and Sam walk off, leaving you and Zack alone.
"I wanna show you a special spot of mine." Zack blushes.
"Sure." You reply shyly. Zack helps you into his truck, after a while of driving, you stop, Zack covers your eyes.
"What are you doing?" You laugh, concerned at the darkness before you.
"Almost there, a few more steps." Zack keeps guiding you, He removes his hands from your eyes.
"This is beautiful." You look stunned. Before you is a gorgeous waterfall, the water crashes against the rocks, the atmosphere calm and romantic.
"I'm glad you like it." Zack beams at you.
You edge closer to Zack, meeting his gaze, you place a gentle kiss on his lips.
"I don't think this date could go any better." Zack smiles.
You step away from Zack looking a little concerned.
"What's wrong?" Zack looks really concerned now.
"What are we gonna do about college?" It just dawned on you that this relationship maybe hard long distance.
"Go together as a couple." Zac laughed.
"But we are from opposite ends of the social circles." You begin to explain.
"So? You will take art, I'll do football and business, then we can focus on our future." Zack explains, trying to reassure you.
"It's sweet you've thought about that." You smile sweetly at him.
"Of course, I've been crushing on you since the first day we met." Zack lets out a small laugh.
"Hmmm, and the Taylor situation?" You ask, after the whole him choosing to take Taylor to prom.
"I thought you picked Nate." He replied sadly.
"I guess you were wrong." You smirk at him. Zack pecks your cheek and leads you back to his truck, he drives you back to Sam's apartment.
