"Your childhood, you never speak of it. How come? If you do not mind me asking." I ask, he looks down at my lips. Staring deeply as his eyes turn into a darker shade of black, he takes in a deep breath before exhaling. The moment they returned to its normal colour; Matias steps closer to me. His hands push itself through my hair to the back of my head as I lean in closer to him. His arms stretch behind me, plucking something from the tree causing a snapping song to appear as he shows me. It looked weird, but so tasty, the wet droplets of be fore's rain dripped down the red coloured fruit. He cleans it with his clothes before plucking the leave out. He pushes open my mouth by dragging my chin down. "Taste it." He whispers, I take a soft bite. The sweetness devours into my mouth as I moan closing my eyes, I take another bite holding onto his wrist. "Nice, isn't it?" "It is, what is this?" "It's called Laquan, my village used to be known for it." He mutters softly, I lick my lips slowly removing the excess of the Laquan. "Used to?" I repeated. "It is very rare to grow these days, if you see one. It means good luck and good fortune," I turn to where he got it, only to see no more left. I sighed and shrugged my shoulder. "Alice," "Marco." "Do you hate liars?" My eyebrows rose, was he talking about me? Was he talking about my throne? Was he talking about how he knew? My mind went into an overthinking mode, I am lying. I am a liar. "It depends on what they are lying on, to protect themselves or to hide their identities. Then no. I do not know Mali, I really do not. Everyone has their little lie." He nods his head; my heart slowly increases on its beats. Matias nods his head, before grabbing his Axe as he walks away from me, half of me wanted to follow him but I felt too guilty to. I lied to him; I am lying to him. He probably knows it, but I am doing it for good reasons. I do not want him to know who I am, I do not want him to know I am part of the royal family, to which whom he despises on my record. He despises me. Secretly. Yet, he does no know I am the future Queen of London. "There you are, I thought I lost you for a second. Come on, I'm making dinner." I raise my head, seeing him hold a chicken in his hands, nodding my head I follow after him, lifting my yellow dress. He gives me his free blood hand as he helps me over the big branch that seems to have taken a terrible fall in the storm last night. That is until, my eyes catch onto something. I stop walking, Matias removes his hands from my own as I turn my head. I see huge claw marks on the fallen tree, "Matias, what is this?" I whisper as I crouches down, my dress dirtying because of the wet flood on the ground. The tree was clawed in, scratch marks, then I turn my head to the ground, where I see paw prints. "Oh my god," I gasped slowly. "Annie-" Matias stopped talking as his eyes catches my own, his jaw tenses as I slowly rush my hands on the marks. It was deep. A monster, some sort of hideous monster has done this. I am intrigued, and I want to know more. "We should get going," "Matias, these are claw marks, I read it in my Grandfathers book, it was a full moon yesterday, meaning they were wolves! This is amazing, we can stay up tonight, and see what they look like-" I suggested excitedly. "No." He ruins my mood; I twist my head to him confused. "What? Do you know what-" "No, Anastasia. No. Its dangerous, and I'm not taking risks. You will go home, rest and come back in the morning." I rose an eyebrow, folding my arms. "And who do you think you are, to tell me what to do." "I am your-no one, do as you shall but I'm not helping." He slurs as he stumbles away, I shake my head as I pick myself up from the ground and follow after him, knowing I might have sounded rude which on my behalf was not my intention. I rush after him, being tall and a fast walker. We arrive at the cabin; Matias pushes open the door throwing his muddy boots inside. I groan as he then throws the chicken onto the counter of the kitchen. He grabs a chopping board and begins cutting it into pieces, rain begins splattering against the windows, I grab his boots along with my shoes and leave them outside. "You are angry with me, for a reason I do not understand!" I shot out, after minutes of total silence I had enough of him ignoring me. But he does not reply, instead he continues cutting the chicken. I glance down at the floor, nodding my head. "I can see that I am no longer welcome here, I should get going." I whisper, I pull open the front door and grab my shoes. I slip them on as I begin going down the steps. "An-" The night sky was taking over, I storm inside the woods, screaming in anger to myself. I don't understand why he is being so ignorant with me, why was he getting offended of me wanting to stay to see the wolves. I push through the trees, before a low growling noise catches my attention. My head snaps to the direction, a pair of yellow-coloured eyes glow in the dark. My eyes widen as I slowly take a step back only to hear another growl. My body snatches around and I see orange eyes. My cheeks glow red, as I tug onto my ears slowly. Unsure of what to do. The growls become louder, as they move closer to me. "I-I-I am not going to harm you." I whisper out, as they come closer the light, my heart explodes once is see the four wolves surrounding me. Their teeth showing after snarling, "Anastasia!" I hear Matias' voice shout from a few miles away, I breathe in relief as I close my eyes, hearing the crunches of twigs. "Matias! Help..." I scream out, my eyes shot towards me. I see his blue tenders matching my own before looking down at the wolves. The wolves turn to Matias, they have some sort of contact, all of a sudden, Matias blue eyes were no longer visible at all. Suddenly, the footsteps of the wolves rush away, Matias rushes towards me grabbing onto my face. His eyes a deep blue, "are you okay? Are you hurt?" I shake my head; he sighs and rested his forehead onto my own. "I am okay, I do not want to go to the palace, it is a long walk-" "You can stay with me. If you want." I smile, nodding my head. He grabs a hold of my hands before rushing me back to the Cabin. His hands felt perfect, a perfect fit into my own. We climb up the steps as he pushes open his door, I pull him away from it as he glances down at me confused. "Leave your shoes outside." He gives me a small smirk, crouching down as he removes his shoes, before looking up at me. He lifts my legs onto his thighs, I raise an eyebrow, I have never been touched by a man down there. Only my hands, and that being Matias. And know, he was touching my bare skin. His hands glide down my knees to my feet where he slowly slips of my shoes. "You have soft skin." He whispers.
