19. Fear of Letting Go

Past ASHK’S POV: It was not a house per se. What I perceived from the checked tiled lobbies to gold plated ceilings, was some kind of a castle. There were rooms to my left and my right, with beautiful antique mirrors placed between every two doors, and the carpets that touched my feet looked exquisite with one-of-a-kind designs. As the lobby ended, my eyes defied to believe what was in front.  A foyer just like the ones they have in movies, running down like an endless waterfall and on its pinnacle, stood us. As I glanced down the vintage railing, I saw a large hall with pillars that invaded the sky and marble that reflected my reflection.
