The wannabe Alpha

1062 Words
I decide to watch how it'll play out. No need telling my mate am the one and not the old Alpha that's not too far from the grave. Thinking about it now, it's hilarious to think my mate “What are you talking about?” Alpha Hendrod coughed. “You asked me to surrender to you, right? I am here to do it.” I widen my eyes in surprise when I heard his words. This is too good to be true. There's no way my mate is willing to give up his position as an Alpha just like that. In some ways, I am expecting a fist fight or something like that. I wasn't expecting to hear him talk of giving up his title that easily. “What are you talking about?” “You know what I am talking about, or are you trying to get me to spell it out for you? You're trying to disgrace me more, isn't that so?” He takes a threatening step towards the Alpha. “I am giving up my title for you. I am willingly going to become your Beta. I give up.” I inwardly scoff. I don't think he would have willingly given up the title if he's to know what I planned for him. An Alpha like he is wouldn't easily give up his freedom. An Alpha like he is wouldn't willingly surrender to another male. But I am going to make sure he does that. I will show my mate that a tamer can be tamed. I will make him surrender to me, while enjoying it all. “And who says I am willing to make you my Beta?” I smirk. “I want no Beta, Alpha. I've already gotten a Beta. There do be no way a pack can get more than two Betas.” “And who are you?” My mate frowned at me. “Your Alpha.” I smirk. * * * Dess's POV “Your Alpha.” His answer shocked me. Taking a step back, I look into the eyes of the Alpha whom I thought was just a newly elected Alpha Just like I am. It's not too difficult to believe that, seeing as he's the youngest one among them. The other Alphas look old compared to his young, smirking self. Who knows, I might even be older than he is. “My… My… My Alpha?” I stammer confused. “What are you talking about?” I frown at the youngster. “I am the Alpha of the fiery pack, the one you agreed to submit to minutes ago.” Taking a step towards me, he stood head in head with me. As one of the tallest in my pack, I've never met anyone close to my height, talk more of being taller than I. I scoff at his words, “I am submitting to the Alpha of the fiery pack, and not a wannabe like you are. If you'll excuse me, I have something to talk about with the Alpha.” Frowning at the young male, I turn my attention to the oldest Alpha in the group. Based on the tales I've heard about the fiery pack, their Alpha is close to the age of the male in front of him, and that automatically makes him the Alpha. What I don't understand is why the Alpha allowed him to claim to be who he's not. Currently, I don't have the time to think on matters that don't concern me. All I have to do is willingly submit the title to the Alpha, and make him stop his Alphas from making use of their scents against my pack. Through the pack bond, I can hear the inward cries of their wolves as they willingly submitted to the new Alpha. I can't allow them to fight more, there's no way I can allow the Alpha to oppress them into submission. Not only will it affect the young pups who haven't fully developed, but it's enough to create more rebels among them. Without turning to look at those who followed me here, I can feel their wolves fighting against the Alphas powers, despite knowing there's no way they can be able to win against them. An ordinary pack member is no match for the Alpha. As a dominant specie, others submit to us, and not the other way around. That's why I feel reluctant to submit to another person despite their Alpha status. I am the tamer, I can't be tamed. But there's no way I can fold my arms, and watch my people suffering. It's either my pride, or the life of some of my pack. In the end, my love for my pack prevailed. I can't allow them to suffer when I can do something to stop that. My pride isn't something that can be compared with the lives of people. There can never be an Alpha without a pack. A pack is what makes an Alpha. “He's the Alpha.” A male behind the young wannabe Alpha growled. Judging from how near and defensive he is, it's not too difficult to know he's the Beta. He reminds me so much of Teny who can never stand by and watch another insult me. “Are you too stuck up in your proud world that you never cared to study about the other Alphas.” “And who are you to ask me that?” I growl in anger. Digging my nails into my palm, I stop myself from attacking him. As an Alpha, I need to be an example. Attacking him right now is more like being ensnared into a trap made for me. “You….” “It's okay.” The young Alpha raised his hand up. “You don't have to explain anything to him.” Looking at the Alpha now, I took my time to study him. Starting from his wild white hair that looks as if he forgot to comb them when he woke from sleep, I trail my eyes to his chest that's packed with enough muscles. I know am muscular, and such, but my muscles can't be compared to his. He looks like a walking pack of muscles. His clothes clinging to him made the shape of his chest all the more prominent.
