I want him to surrender freely

1084 Words
Rama's POV I know he's the one. I've always known since that chance meeting months ago that Dess is my mate. What I wasn't prepared is the onslaught of his scent on my sensitive nose the moment we stopped at the border. Being this near to my mate is making my wolf restless to the point it wants to rip out of my body pursuing his mate, who happens to be a headstrong Alpha determined to refuse my proposition. “Are you sure about this? You're sure you aim to avoid waging a real war against them?” Wage a war against my mate's pack, and end up having him as an enemy? No, thank you. It's better I go back to my pack without following through with this, than to have my mate forever hate me for what I did to his pack. As an Alpha, it's not too difficult to know his heart and everything about him is towards his pack. An Alpha's pack is one he holds dear to him. “No, I would rather not wage any war against them. I want them to surrender freely, by their own self will. I would rather not force them.” I want my mate to willingly give himself over to me. Not only that, but I want him to surrender to me. Likewise, I want him to want me as much as I want him. “You know, you've really changed. Had it being before, you wouldn't have wasted time in showing the pack who they messed with. You would have waged a war against them the moment the Alpha denied your proposal, but you did nothing of that sort. “ My beta says in unrestrained anger. No doubt, he's craving for some blood shedding, but there will be none today. There's no way I am going to allow my wolves to touch my mate's pack. “I've not changed at all. Had it being another pack that did what the Blue moon pack did, I wouldn't have wasted any time in putting them in their place.” I would have loved to cut the tongue off the mouth of the Alpha. This way, he'll know how to talk to those in higher authorities. “What's different in this pack? What's so special about them?” “You'll see.” This pack houses something precious to me. It holds my mate in its grab. * The Alphas I called to my aid all assembled, each of them armed to their teeth, together with their soldiers. “Goddess bless you, Alpha.” Kneeling on the floor, they stretch their hand in front of them. Bowing lowly, they place their forehead on the floor. Rising, they did it once more. Among the wolves, their mode of greeting is seen as a mark of respect. Bowing twice to a wolf, yours, indirectly telling the wolf in question that you're willing to submit to their authority. “Thank you all for honouring my call.” I know I have many packs under me, but I wasn't expecting any of them to willingly come. “It's our pleasure to serve our Alpha.” They all bow as one. “Thank you once more.” I look at the Alphas in front of me, my face beaming with pride. It's not every day a leader gets blessed with willing followers. Those who're willing to help you in time of need. “What are we going to do? Are we charging to battle this instant?” The Alpha of the dark hollow asked, sneering in an animalistic way, he looks as if he's ready to tear anyone who comes his way, limb by limb. “No, there will be no fight. I am here to bully them into submission.” There will be no bloodshed if things goes as planned. “What are we to do then?” The Alpha of the morning song asked. Based on how crestfallen their Faces are, it's not difficult to know they're not happy with the words I said. Had it not being for the fact I happen to be their Alpha, they would have questioned me about the reasons why I decide not to fight. “I want you all to release your pheromones to make the lesser wolves submit. I want you to make use of your scent and Alpha will to subdue the wolves.” “And their Alpha?” “Leave him for me.” * Looking at my mate's face, I felt the urge to go over to him and embrace him while peppering his face with kisses. I want to take him away from here, and to a place where there's only us. A place where we can have as much time with ourselves as we want. I really can't wait to have him all to myself. I'll make sure I make him love me as I do him. Not only that, but I'll make sure my name is the only one that'll be imprinted into his mind. “Alpha,” My beta startled me out of my thoughts. “What's it?” I frown at him. “What are we going to do next?” “Allow things to play out in their own way.” I said, my eyes still locked with that of my mate who's giving us a look of pure undisguised hatred and scorn. “Should we get ready for the fight?” “No. No wine should raise any weapon of some sort.” I don't need anyone to mistakenly hurt my mate in the guise of helping me out. “And what if they attack? What should we do?” “Nothing. Just don't raise your sword against them.” “But Alpha…” “Are you trying to question my authority?” “Not at all, my Alpha.” Bowing, he goes back to his station. With him gone, I turn my attention back to my mate, who's currently glaring at the Alpha of the Sunlight moon pack, a look of anger on his face. “What do you want from our pack?” He asked Alpha Hendrod. “Last I checked, we've done absolutely nothing to make you this eager to take over from us. Tell me, my Alpha, why did you decide to wage war?” At his questions, and his undivided attention at the Alpha, I understood one thing. My mate thought Alpha Hendrod is I?
