NAMING CEREMONIES WERE traditionally planned for high noon, but we fully expected our visitors to buck tradition and begin arriving around dawn. To keep up appearances, our front gate hung wide open while the gatehouse stood empty. Still, sentries hid in the trees and watched the turnoff to our driveway, relaying information to the command crew—Luke and me included—gathered in the war room.
