Soulmate

On a Cold Saturday morning there was the cry of a baby girl in the dark corners of the street so dark that the nurse had to use a latern to see the unbiblical cord and severed the baby from the mother with an eyes of exhaustion and pain Adesuwa carried her new born baby she was only 18 years old and was still in highschool when she discovered that she was pregnant. Driven away from her home and from all she had known not knowing what to do she made a promise that never will any of her child stay out of school or get pregnant out of wedlock Pedo came running in with burning cigarette in his hand and a bottle of beer in his hands he shouted in pigidn English " where my pikin, where my pikin" and. the nurse showed him the baby and said " your wife don born baby girl oh" seeing the child he dashed out with great excitement nodding and saying " my wife don born girl". Pedo was a 20 years old who has refused to complete his secondary education and failed to learn a skill or trade that could use to support the future and life he wanted he was merely an optimist with no goal and vision as he was still going through the stage of youthful lust and pleasure and his go to saying was that don't worry everything will be alright. Pedo has no means and no sense of duty to take care of his new born and so left Adesuwa and his new born in the care of his mother and went out with his friends to the new joint to drink and smoke not minding that his mother was old and strikken in age and could only but do little for the mother and child.
