“Just tell me where she is.”
His look of murderous fire ignites her feelings within her. Making her skin feels hot, yet his cold hand on her neck is the only thing that could tame the hotness within her.
‘How ironic.’ She thought, making her smile a little.
“Tsk... what’s so funny? Do you think this is funny?” Theo asks, his voice becomes more irritated.
Arcana just kept silent, believing that he won't listen to her no matter what.
When she kept her silence, Theo tightened his hand on her next a little bit more. Making her breathing a little bit erratic.
“You... hate me... this much...” she said making him smile a little.
“Of course. For years, you were so annoying but I didn’t say anything since you’re useful... until you weren’t...”
His answer is a stab into her heart, making her eyes suddenly wells up. A look of betrayal is in her eyes.
“Oh, what’s this? Did I hurt you that much? Pathetic.” Theo tightens the hold to her neck a little more for a second then loosens his chokehold on her completely.
He stands up from his kneeling, yet his eyes never left hers as she coughs a little then sits up while holding her neck.
“If you can’t tell me where she is... fine. Tell me this then, why”
“She’s... that important to you huh?”
Theo didn’t reply, he just kept staring at her. His usual cold face is back, making her heart clench.
“I only did it for you, Theo… I had to.”
This made him laugh and slap his leg.
“Really?” he asks and keeps on laughing. “That’s hilarious!”
This made Cana explode. “You’re obsessing here, Theo! You obsess her too much that she can’t live her own life. It’s also ruining your own! Look at where you are now Theodore, you have a bright future ahead of you… but since she came into your life—Let her go, Theo, just let her go.”
Her exclaim and point made him stop laughing. A straight frown plastered on his face.
“What right do you have to say that, Arcana? What right do even have to have her kidn*pped? Are you sure that she’s even safe? Have you even checked whether your goons did their job right?”
All of those questions hit her hard. Every question that he gave her made a deep wound in her heart… because all answers lead to ‘NO’. She didn’t check her trusted men if ever the job that she gave them was successful and she doesn’t have the right to meddle in their lives—in his life.
A bloody cloth was thrown beside her, she immediately recognizes the torn and bloody cloth since it was one of the shirts of her men. This only meant that they failed.
“I’m not obsessive. I just care too much. Why? Because she’s not like them anymore. She’s more like us. Haven’t you ever thought to why she looks like us even? It’s because she’s not using a mirage… it’s the potion that dad made. Besides,” he pauses, making sure that her eyes are on him. “She forgot how to live like them after my dad brought her home… and that was already years ago.”
After saying his piece, Theo holds up limestone and breaks it. Vanishing to thin air, teleporting to where he had put the other stone is.

“Is this it?”
A man wearing a mask asks his coworker who’s holding a paper holder board. He came in with the said ‘new package’ that all of them were talking about.
“Yup. That’s about it.”
The man with a mask lifts up the white cloth that’s been covering the body laid on the bed.
“Wait… it’s a human! Are you sure?” he asks again, looking back and forth towards his coworker and the body.
“Check it then, man. Whatever it says here in the papers are different.”
He immediately gets the board that’s being handed out, reads whatever’s been written there, and looks back at his coworker.
“Well damn...”
“Anyway, let us just get this over with.” He replies and the both of them rolled the bed towards the room assigned.

‘Why can’t I move? Why does my body ache? What’s happening? Where am I? Where is Theo?’ those are the questions that are been circling in her head since she gained consciousness.
Diane couldn’t remember the events well since the time she heard Cana said that she’ll go to the Council for an emergency.
‘She’s probably worried… who isn’t?’
Despite her confusion about what’s going on, she knows that she’s not inside their house. Sleeping. And no one is here to explain whatever’s going on.
‘Is Theo alright? Did something happen? To his job maybe? Is this why I’m here?’
The more she doesn’t know what is happening, the more speculation and misunderstanding are being injected into her mind.
‘When will this end? When can I go home? …I miss Theo, I miss Sebyl and Cecil… I miss Cana too…’
Hot tears well up in her eyes while thinking of everyone she knew and love.
“She’s awake.” Those soft words that she heard shocked her.
Despite her hearing, it likes all muffled but she heard it, indicating that people are with her.
“Damn it! Sedate her, quick!” a male voice said exclaims.
Immediately, her hand stings… knowing that they had injected her with a drug that she doesn’t even know.
“Wait! Please tell me where… am…” she couldn’t finish her sentence as the drug quickly kicks in. Making her sleep.
Everyone around her sighs in relief. They didn’t expect that their subject had woken up after they’ve given her a strong dosage that’s going to make her sleep for two to three days max.
It won’t kill her due to the level of mana in her blood… it’s much higher than all of those subjects that they’ve had experimented and tested on.
When they’ve heard through their superiors that they’ve caught a very special case, all of them were excited.
They’ve never had a new test subject for years since that mission had failed. That mission wherein one of the Council Members will try to tame the Lycan who failed to rescue his mate. And resulted in him going berserk when they dumped him back to their Realm.
With the scent of his once captured mate and a group of five warlocks and witches to make the mission as secretive as possible to not alert those in the other Realm. Yet it resulted in a disaster. Almost everyone was killed and that berserk Lycan got even madder. Wreaking havoc everywhere it went.
In the end, only the late Council Member Massimo and his close friend Nabi came back wounded but in one piece.
Now that they have this test subject, they will take care of it. More special than those ones that they’ve already were done with.
“Okay guys, let’s hurry up. That was a stronger dosage. It can knock down a horse in more than a week. I just hope that she won’t wake up too early this time.”
