THE ALPHA'S CHOICE

THE COUNCIL MEETING OF ELDERS

Zeke had been summoned by the council of elders, these were the wolves that made sure the laws were intact and obeyed.

"Percy, What did I say about nobody coming close to her room?" Zeke spoke calmly yet still sounded menacing

Percy was Zeke's beta and also his friend, he had known Zeke since they were little and he knew that there were two things Zeke hated the most, being told what to do and having his orders flouted.

"Zeke, you know I would never flout your orders if it wasn't important, when I heard you were with that thing, I tried waiting but you were taking too long so.." Percy felt the air around him thicken and found it hard to continue speaking.

"Did you just call her a thing?" hearing Percy insult his little dove stepped on every nerve in his body, he didn't know why it made him so upset but he knew that if it hadn't been Percy he would have slashed the person's throat. "Her name is Alicia and you will address her by her name, Have I made myself clear".

"Yes, yes Your Highness" Percy found himself shaking a little, it was the first time Zeke had ever spoken to him in such a manner and this only amplified his hatred for Alicia

"Now what is this important message that couldn't wait" said Zeke

"The Elders demand your presence immediately," Percy replied carefully not wanting to provoke him more than he already had.

Zeke pinched the middle of his eyebrows."Those old men always piss me off," Zeke was not interested in the slightest.

"What do you think is their reason?" He asked his beta

Percy just shrugged

"Although I think we both know why," Percy tried his best to choose his words carefully

Zeke sighed "Fine, Let's go" Zeke hated being summoned under normal circumstances, he would refuse the invite but he knew what this was about, he knew it was because he let a Human into Werewolf's domain.

And If didn't honour the invite things might get a little out of hand

As they made their way outside several wolves bowed to greet him. He was young but was one of the most if not the most feared wolf. The vehicle was already waiting for them in front of the castle.

Percy opened the door for Zeke and he climbed in Percy got in as well and the vehicle Zoomed off.

They soon arrived at their destination, Percy got off and held the door open for Zeke to get off.

They both walked into the building, prepared for the worst.

"You're late Ezekiel" one of the elders who noticed them walk in queried.

Percy gave a slight bow in an attempt at an apology, "Our apologies Elder Ried," Percy looked at Zeke who just stood there with a straight face covered in boredom, it was obvious he just wanted to get this over with.

The Council was made up of 5 elders from different clans

The Black Furry clan, The Red Talon clan, the Star Gazer clan, The Silent Striders, and the Silver Fangs to which Zeke belonged.

"Ezekiel Boldheart of the Silver Fang, We received news that you saved a Human female and are now harbouring her in werewolf territory, Is this true." One of the elders who seemed to be the head was the one who spoke

"Elder Brandish, this is true," Zeke replied rather carefree.

The elders began to whisper amongst themselves and then followed by a sudden silence.

Elder Brandish's words that followed were short and cold, "Get rid of her,"

Zeke scoffed and looked the Head elder right in the eye and yelled."No, I will not"Zeke's words were firm and they knew he meant it.

One of the elders who was representing the Star Gazer clan roared in anger "How dare you, You should know your place and follow others as given"

This angered Zeke but did his best to keep himself under control, and remained Quiet.

Percy knew Zeke would explode in rage any minute now and this scared him.

He tried to stay as close as possible to calm Zeke down in case that should happen

"Ezekiel.." Elder Brandish was quiet for a while but then continued"This is not a matter of debate, You will get rid of her or we will get rid of her for you.

Zeke's deep blue eyes turned red, burning with rage, "If anyone dares lay as much as a single claw on my little dove then they should be prepared to lose a limb, Percy!!" Zeke knew that if he stayed longer he would do something terrible, he had no respect for the council so walking away was the best option.

Percy quickly ran to his Alpha "Yes Your Highness "

"GET ME OUT OF HERE" The words came out of his mouth with so much anger Percy dared not delay. Percy turned to the elders and took a bow."We will be taking our leave" He said and they both walked out despite the commotion taking place in the council

Elder Brandish felt insulted by Zeke's Insolence. Although this wasn't the first time Zeke had disrespected him but it was the first time Zeke had challenged him, he took Zeke's words as a threat.

He said he would take a limb if a claw touched her, I wonder what he will do when I kill her. Elder Brandish chuckled
