DANGER IN THE WOODS
"I do not wish to die like this" Alicia yelled as she was running through the woods. She was being chased by a pack of wolves and they didn't look like normal wolves, and they were quickly gaining on her. She could hear their howls and footsteps and she knew they were close, she tried to run faster but her feet failed her, she was weak, tired and could barely maintain the pace she was on.
"Is this it?" She thought to herself "Was this how it would all end for her" Tears welled up in her eyes making her vision blurry, she tripped and fell hard on the ground, gasping for air she could hear the steps getting closer and closer she tried to get up but was me with severe pains on her ankle.
She yelled in pain as she began crawling on the ground, "This was it" she thought, why fight it when I already know I can't escape the inevitable, she let out a pain-filled laugh as though mocking herself for even trying.
The wolves had already caught up with her and were now circling her and though she was a lonely prey, She closed her eyes and braced herself for the impact knowing they would pounce on her any moment now, she shut her eyes as tight as possible but it never came. Instead, she heard growling as though they were fighting amongst themselves.
She slowly opened her eyes to take a peek and saw a really large Silver fur wolf fighting off the rest of the pack, she was taken aback for a moment but then a thought hit her, what if they were fighting for who would take the first bite of her flesh, the thought sent shivers down her spine and she was visibly shaking.
The Silver fur wolf's growl echoed like thunder in the woods and the other wolves knew they didn't stand a chance and took to their heels. The wolf then turned to the frail-looking girl on the floor and transformed into a tall and undeniably good looking man.
The girl was bewildered, what did she just see, Did the wolf just become a man or was she seeing things due to exhaustion? She wanted to run away but she dared not move plus her ankle was hurt and if she crawled it still wouldn't do her any good.
" Don't come close to me" she managed to say as she noticed the tall handsome and also naked man-wolf walking towards her. He was very good-looking but he still terrified her. She was sure he was coming to kill her, he was a few inches away from her when she passed out.
He stood over her unconscious body and tilted his head to the side as if trying to study this fragile-looking creature in front of him, he picked her up carefully and off he went.
When she woke up she found herself in a massive bedroom she tried to get up but realized she was tied to the bed. As she struggled to set herself free she heard voices approaching from outside the room.
"Is she still unconscious" A deep voice spoke followed by a female voice "Yes, last I checked she was still unconscious"
The door flew open without warning and two figures walked in, a Tall handsome man who looked like he was in his early thirties and a woman probably in her mid-fifties. The girl tried to pretend she was still unconscious but it was too late they had already seen her.
"I see you're awake, I was beginning to worry you would die on me" the tall handsome man blurted out carelessly.
At first, she didn't recognize him but after a closer look at his face the memories all came pouring in and she almost screamed.
But held herself back for fear that it would irritate him. He sensed that she was afraid and uncomfortable.
"Where are my manners, Sorry I haven't introduced myself properly, I'm Ezekiel Boldheart but you can just call me Zeke," he said with a soft and friendly smile.
But she said nothing in return and just kept staring at his face with millions of questions running through her mind. He seemed nice and friendly but she still couldn't get the picture of him transforming from a beast into a human out of her head and that kept her in panic mode.
"What's your name Miss?"Ezekiel asked still smiling with his deep piercing blue eyes fixated on her. " You don't have to be scared you're safe here, at least for now" The woman who had been quiet finally spoke
But that did not help at all, what did she mean by at least for now does that mean she would be in danger again shortly? Questions stormed her mind and she couldn't find an answer to any of them. But she didn't want to annoy them by staying quiet
"M..my..my name is Alicia....Alicia....Alicia"she struggled to remember her last name but couldn't
"Alicia huh, that's a really pretty name it suits you", Ezekiel replied leaning close to her that she could feel his warm breath on her skin and this made her face flushed.
He was way too close for comfort and Alicia didn't like this a bit, she needed to say something or do something.
As if reading her thoughts Ezekiel pulled back and smiled " I only wanted to get more familiar with your scent, you need to relax you're a guest here"
"Well you have a very funny way of treating guests, do you tie them all up or am I just the Lucky one," Alicia said sarcastically
Ezekiel laughed out loud,he was surprised she could speak to him so boldly, she didn't sound like the frail looking girl he rescued from the woods who was bathed with fear" Untie her," he said to the woman and she did as she was told without questions
