Alicia could feel his gaze on her and it made her a little uncomfortable, and the awkward silence didn't help.
Alicia cleared her throat and looked Zeke right in with eye summoning all the courage in the world just to speak
"I demand that you let me leave this room"
Zeke blinked a few times creasing his brows a little "You demand?" He scoffed
"No one said you couldn't leave the room". Zeke said sitting next to her
As he sat down his skin slightly brushed against hers and it felt like an electric current.
A surge of emotions slept through the both of them.
" I think I should let you enjoy your meal," said Zeke standing up quickly as if being chased, he noticed the look on Alicia's face and immediately knew that she felt it too.
Alicia did not want to talk about what she just felt, it confused her, what was that she thought, she had never felt that way and just from a light brush of her skin. She was too deep in thought she didn't hear Zeke speaking
"Alicia, Alicia!!" Zeke snapped his fingers in her face after realizing he didn't have her attention
"Oh I'm sorry, what were you saying!" Alicia finally responded
"I was inviting you to take a stroll with me, once you're done eating and freshening up of course, What do you say?"
Alicia was elated to hear this, she wanted to have a tour of the castle and a stroll with Zeke would be refreshing.
"Of course yes I would love to" Alicia replied with excitement glimmering in her eyes and a wild smile on her face.
It was the first time Zeke had seen her smile and he was taken aback by her, she had a beautiful smile which complimented her perfect set of teeth. He didn't realize he was staring.
"Ezekiel, you might want to take a picture it lasts longer" She looked so fulfilled as these words came out of her mouth, she had successfully had her revenge
Hearing this made Zeke chuckle
"Nicely done, "Zeke said smiling
They heard a knock on the door, Zeke knew who it was and why he was there and Zeke's face darkened the lovely smile was gone and was replaced by an angry look, his piercing blue eyes became a shade darker and the aura emanating from him made the air heavy.
And for the first time since she saw him in the woods, Alicia felt scared of him.
She clenched the bed sheet in fear as she looked at him, all the sweetness was gone from him.
" I must leave now, but I promise to take you for that stroll once I return" He managed to give her a reassuring smile before storming off.
How can one person seem so sweet and scary at the same time, she was already used to seeing his sweet side and forgot that he was part beast.
Alicia was done eating and was ready to freshen up when it hit her that she didn't have any of her things with her.
She can't possibly wear the clothes she had on after washing up and even if she wanted to she couldn't cause she had soiled them while eating
While she was looking around frantically she heard a knock on the door which startled her a little, was it Zeke she thought happily. Why was she happy, why was she wishing it was him? She shook off her thoughts and went to open the door and saw that it was Zeke but Lillian and some helpers. She felt disappointed and she was baffled by her reaction.
"Where you expecting someone else" Lilian jokingly as she walked in noticing the disappointed look on Alicia's face
"Oh No, who..who could I possibly be expecting" Alicia stuttered and this made Lilian laugh
Lilian ordered the helpers to clear the dishes and they did immediately.
"It's Lilian right," Alicia remembers hearing Zeke call her that earlier
"Yes, I'm Lilian and I'm the head of staff in this castle, feel free to tell me if you need anything at all."
Alicia felt very relaxed around Lilian and felt they could be friends if she was going to be stuck in this castle for a while, the age difference didn't matter to her at all.
"I might need something," Alicia didn't want to offend her in any way or to come off bossy so she made sure to choose her words carefully."I want to wash up but I do not have any of my things here so I was wondering if I could maybe borrow one of your clothes.
Lilian laughed uncontrollably, Alicia didn't see what she found so funny.
When Lilian finally calmed down she cleared her throat and smiled at Alicia
"His Majesty made sure all you'll be needing was made ready before you woke up, Everything you need is in the closet over there".
"Who is this Majesty you speak of"Alicia asked confused as she made her way to the closet
" The Alpha King, of course," Alicia still looked confused and Lilian rolled her eyes."It's Master Ezekiel."
"Oh I see, he truly is a Wolfman," Alicia said in a whisper but it was still audible enough for Lilian to hear.
"He's an Alpha King, not a Wolfman," Lilian looked a bit annoyed. "Don't worry you'll understand soon enough since you'll be staying with us for a long time, for now, wash up and get dressed, I'll be waiting downstairs or do you also need me for that."
Alicia furrowed her brows."No that would be all."Alicia replied calmly
"Then I shall take my leave," said Lilian and left the room
"I guess she's not as nice as I thought she was," said Alicia as she stepped into the bathtub
