MY LITTLE DOVE WANTS TO SEE THE BIG BAD WOLF

It was already dark but Alicia was having so much fun and Zeke was contented with just watching her.

"Can I ask you something," Alicia asked while staring at the stars.

"Of course, Ask anything," Zeke replied moving closer to where she was standing

Alicia turned to Zeke with questioning eyes, she hesitated for a while before speaking.

"What exactly are you?", the words finally came

The question caught Zeke off guard, he knew she would ask one day but he wasn't expecting it to be today

He met her gaze with his and then turned to stare at the stars for a while before returning his focus to her. While she waited patiently for an answer

" I'm a cursed creature, a monster of the night," He said with a smile on his face but it wasn't the usual warm friendly smile, this smile was bitter and sad and for some reason it made her heart ache.

She hated that her question made him sad but she needed to know.

"What do you mean by that," She asked creasing her brows.

"I'm a Trueborn Alpha Were Wolf, born into something I never asked for lost the people I cared about trying to protect the same thing I never wanted, mounted with responsibilities and expectations since I turned 18, but I thrived and become the most powerful Alpha in all 5 clans and thus made me the Alpha King." Zeke had a hint of anger and pain in his voice as he spoke.

Alicia already knew what he was but she was hoping she would be wrong, but she had gotten her confirmation. She took a few steps back

"So you're half human and part wolf, that's what a werewolf is right," Alicia asked carefully.

Zeke looked into her eyes and he saw a glint of horror.

" Yes that's what I am and it's okay for you to be horrified by me, I'm a monster after all" replied Zeke with his head hanging low.

It broke his heart when he saw that glint of horror in those deep brown eyes of hers. His wolf was also sad.

"From what I've gathered Werewolves hunt down human who encroach into their territory but you saved me and have been taking care of me," she moved closer to him and held his head in her palm so she could look him in the eye before she continued.

"That's not something a monster does,"

Zeke looked at her and his heart raised with joy, she didn't see him as a monster and he hoped it stayed that way even when she regained her memory. He gave her a light smile and ran his fingers through her hair.

"Thank you, that really means a lot," Zeke genuinely felt grateful

Alicia still had a lot of questions to ask but seeing how sensitive the topic was she decided to refrain from asking further.

"I want to see it," Alicia demanded pulling away from him.

"See what, "He asked confused

"I want to see the thing, the wolf thingy," Alicia said almost pouting n

Zeke was baffled by her bold and unexpected request. His little dove wanted to see the big bad wolf.

" You want to see Eclipse?" Zeke tilted his head to the side with a smile playing on his lips.

"Who's Eclipse?" Alicia asked with raised brows

"Eclipse is My wolf, and he has a personality of his own, I'm just glad he likes you 'cause if he didn't...", Zeke replied and moved closer to her.

" An..an..and if he didn't?" she stammered and subconsciously moved back.

Zeke shot her a coy smile and sighed

"You're not ready to see Eclipse, it's late, you need to go rest you're still recovering," Zeke said offering her his hand.

"But I..." Alicia tried to argue but before she could finish her sentence she found herself in the air.

Zeke was carrying her on his shoulders and was now running.

"Hold on tight little dove," Zeke said before increasing his pace

"Who are you he calling a little dove, I'm a bug dove," Alicia refuted.

Zeke let out a little giggle and kept running till they were at the entrance of the building and let her down carefully.

"Go to your room and lock the door, do not let anyone in aside from Me and Lilian, is that understood?" Zeke's words were calm but firm.

"Why, what's wrong," Alicia asked a little worried.

"Oh nothing just safety precautions, now go, I have something important to attend to. And just like that as though in a twinkle of an eye, Zeke was gone.

Alicia stood there staring at the space and then she heard loud growls coming from the direction Zeke had gone and she quickly ran into the building, went straight to her room and locked the door she didn't bother looking at anyone as she ran upstairs.

Earlier Zeke had sensed the presence of some intruders and alerted Percy his Beta via the mind link. Wolves had a special connection and could communicate with each other with their minds even from miles away.

Zekedidn't want to alarm Alicia since she looked so relaxed he didn't to act like all was well. But the minute he secured her to safety he quickly tasted off to join his beta and the rest of the pack warriors who were already hunting down the intruders.

They soon rounded up the intruders after chasing them down

"You Scrawny looking werewolves had the guts to enter into my domain, I will show you why Ezekiel Boldheart is the Alpha King, Take them to the dungeon," Said Zeke with his eyes burning red with fury
