1. In Which She Was Arrested
Hi, so before you get into this story, I just want to let you know that this is in no way portraying racial discrimination, trust me. I'm a black writer that loves to write BWWM so when you're reading this, have an open mind. Usually I don't do this but, I'm talking about a white policeman and a black woman, it might be triggering to some people, giving that there was a BLM protest that went on a few weeks ago because of a cop and a black man. That's not my intention. Imagine the characters have invisible skin, void of any color. Thank you. Natashah. Connor's POV "I didn't kill anyone, I swear I didn't" the criminal said in a monotone voice, she was looking down at her handcuffed hands, no emotions whatsoever as she repeated the words over and over, so much so that it was getting annoying. I was on my night patrol when I heard a loud scream coming from a nearby restaurant, being the cop I am, I drove over as fast as I could but, I was late, there was a dead body lying on the floor, thick warm blood flowing from it. I accessed the lifeless body, it was a woman in her early 20's, a black and beautiful woman. Judging from the area of her cloth that was stained the most with blood, I could tell she was stabbed a few times. She looked like she suffered before death, she tried to fight for life. Looking around the restaurant, there was no one in it, save the dead body. I called for backup immediately and that was when I heard it, footsteps; whosoever that was, was trying to run, unfortunately, I was a track star so getting away from me would be hard. I grabbed my gun in one hand and ran towards the direction I heard the noise, the restaurant was quite big and judging from the path the person followed, he or she wanted to escape through a back door, if there was any. Knowing this, I increased my speed, thankful that the restaurant was empty, or else I would've been bumping into a lot. AsI inched closer, I saw brown hair flying around, the person had the perfect shape of a woman, a slim curvy woman, if that makes any sense. I think she noticed she was being followed, panicking, she tried to outrun me but I ran faster and bumped into the her when she was trying to open the back door. I pressed her against the door, using my big body to keep her in place. She was feisty, trying to wiggle her way out of my hold. Not happening. I skillfully put my gun in my holster and grabbed the handcuffs that had been dangling endlessly, just waiting to be used. I smirked and pressed my body more in to hers then I grabbed both her hands, putting them behind her, she wiggled more aggressively, unknowingly grinding against my crotch. I didn't let that deter me. Criminals need to be punished regardless. "Shh, stop fighting it" I said into her hair. "You are under arrest for the murder of the young woman laying lifeless on the floor, you have the right to remain silent as anything you say can be used against you in court. You have right to talk to a lawyer for advice before I ask you any questions. You have the right to have a lawyer with you during questioning. If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be appointed to you before any questioning in you wish. If you decide to answer questions now without any lawyer present, you have the right to stop answering at anytime" I stated the Miranda warning as I hand cuffed her. "I swear I didn't kill her" she spoke for the first time, she sounded like she had been crying. Don't they all though? I took a step back while holding her handcuffed hands firmly, it'll surprise you how adrenaline and panic makes even the weakest person very strong. I wasn't about to loose my favorite handcuffs just because this fine lady didn't want to be arrested. When I our eyes met, I sucked in a breath. She was crying, her face was a mixture of dried tears and fresh tears but, despite the tears in her face, she started laughing. I was shocked and confused, I'm sure it must've shown on my face because, her laugher increased, it became louder and like she was mocking me. That only made me angry. "Look, I didn't kill anyone, I was even stabbed" she said, looking down at her chest. From the cotton crop cardigan she was wearing, I could tell she was really stabbed because she got blood on the area. "I was almost murdered officer" she cried and then she started laughing again. What in the hell was wrong with this person? Annoyed, I kissed my teeth and led her back to the dead body. By now, backup had arrived along with paramedics. They put the dead lady on the stretcher and into the van, I led little miss psycho to my car. "Yo Connor" my colleague, Braxton - also known as Brax- hailed, walking over to me. I put the suspect into my car and closed the door. "What in God's name happened here?" He asked me. He was more like a brother to me. We were tagged as the most ruthless police officers in town, some ladies would say the "hottest". Like me, he was big and had a perfect build. "I have no idea, I think this one killed the lady. I also think she has mental issues. She was crying and laughing at the same time while saying she didn't kill the girl" I explained to him. What did I just get myself into? "Get me a paramedic to fix her up, I think she stabbed herself" I told Brax, he looked as surprised as I was when I saw the blood on her top. He nodded and went to get a paramedic anyway. "Be careful" I told the paramedic when she came to my car, escorted by Brax. She looked at both of us, the fear in her eyes was evident but nodded anyway. I put my hands on each side of the door so the psycho lady could see my face through the window. "This lady is going to clean your wound, don't try anything funny" I warned her in a stern voice, though the window was up, I could still see her visibly gulp. Good. I opened the door and grabbed her shoulder so she knows not to run or try to be funny. The paramedic opened the first two buttons of the cardigan, assessing the wound. It was a deep cut, I could tell from where I was standing. It made me second guess my theory about her stabbing her self so she doesn't look like the suspect but then again, she's psycho, she can do anything. "Owwww. It stings" she complained to the paramedic who looked at me and then back at the wound, paying no mind to the whining lady. "Look, I know you said I shouldn't talk because of that trash about it going to be used against me in court but, I swear I'm not psycho and I'm not a murderer. I didn't kill her" she confessed. Trash huh? Brave. Very brave. "She's going to be a tough one in court" Brax said, motioning to little miss psycho, I nodded my head in agreement. She was tough and feisty. "Owwww, would you keep your eyes on what you're doing and not on the police officer?" the psycho girl said bringing my attention to the paramedic, she looked away from me when our eyes met. I looked at Brax, he was trying to hard to swallow the laugh that was threatening to come out. I shot him a death glare and he adjusted his face. This was what Brax and I suffered everyday. We had quite the female fans and it went as far as getting letters and flowers. I won't lie, I loved the attention. I mean, I spend an awfully long amount of time in the gym despite my stressful job, it felt good to know that there are people who appreciated my body apart from me. And then there was my face, no kidding, I know I have it all; the Face, body, money and then I'm a uniform man. I can't even start to explain the amount of times I've gotten laid just because I'm a uniform man. Of course I let the girls sign a confidentiality contract, because you can't be too careful. I think my best trait is the way I separate my personal life from my work. I had a one night stand with a lady one time and the next day she was arrested, by me of course. She had stabbed someone in the eye and she thought I was going to let her go because I buried myself in her the night before but, she had something different coming for her, and it was jail. She got the punishment she deserved. When she paid the bail, settled the person she stabbed, and got out of jail, I f****d her that night. It's simple. I really don't know how I do it but I just do and it has worked out well for me. I smirked at the paramedic when she looked at me and we locked eyes. Silently telling her I'd love to have her on my bed. "Okay ew!" Lil miss psycho said, I shot her a death glare and she looked away. The paramedic finished treating the wound, packed her stuff and left. Now back to serious business. I asked Brax to ride with me, he nodded his head after making sure little miss psycho was strapped in securely and there was no chance of her getting away. When we got to the police station, little miss psycho started laughing again, gaining attention. "I'm sorry" she apologized to the people she had distracted. I took her straight to the investigation room where detective Saunders took over. Brax and I stood behind the glass, watching the investigation play out. "Do you have a lawyer?" Detective Saunders asked her. Detective Saunders was one of the best detectives we had in the state. She was pretty, brave and took s**t from no body. She's fought a lot of guys and beat them up like babies, and she has a silent crush on me. I'm not even trying to be cocky right now, but that's the situation. I don't know where or how it started per say but, she always found a way to touch me and give me flirty looks. I've seen that look a lot of times to know what it means. I avoided her as much as I could because I obviously didn't feel anything for her at all. "I didn't kill anyone" was psycho's reply. "What's your name?" Saunders asked her. "Imade" psycho replied. Imade.. (Imade is pronounced- eemaday) "Do you have a lawyer, Imade?" Saunders asked her, she shook her head. "One will be appointed to you" Saunders said and she nodded. "I didn't kill anyone though. I swear" she said "You're not listening to me detective, I didn't kill her" she reported "Do you want to answer questions before the lawyer gets here? Because I'm down" Saunders asked her. "I didn't kill her" she repeated but this time, she started turning her neck, like it was itching her. Like she was glitching. Then she started shaking her head slowly. "I didn't kill her. I'm not a murderer. I'm not psycho" she said then she started smiling. In that moment, she reminded me of the Joker, it made me wonder if she had the same problem. She looked at the glass protection, her eyes wandered a little bit then she stopped wandering, like she could see me. Look, she cannot see anything outside the glass, that's how it was built, but she managed to look directly at me, then she smirked like she was sure I was there. What the crap? Who is this person?
