The announcement reached the capital before sunrise. I learned about it before Damon did. That alone should have warned me to remain quiet. Instead, it made me angry.
Furious.
Humiliated. I stood in my private sitting room reading the report for the third time while Lena watched from across the room. Neither of us had spoken in several minutes. Mostly because the report spoke for itself. Nathan had publicly introduced Elodie as his future Luna.
Not privately.
Not among close allies.
Publicly.

Leaders.

Interesting.
