*clang* the sound of the car doors closing was heard as John and Holly arrived before John’s home.   John rushed out of the car and into his home with Holly trailing behind with a stake at hand. Although John was sure that Jay was still in the basement he decided to check as to make sure he was there.   Immediately he stepped in the house he ran straight for the basement and thankfully the door was still locked, opening the door he went down the stairs expecting to see Jay still bound to his chair but he wasn’t the chair was empty with the remains of his restraints on the floor. John’s eyes were opened wide as he realized what it meant but before he could do anything there was a c***k and John fell like a sack of potatoes.   Jay looked down at his brother’s body, normally snapping someone’s neck would kill them but he had a hunch that this brother of his wasn’t human… of course the main reason for snapping his neck was because he was pissed. He was tied down in the basement for God’s sake and he was beginning to feel thirsty, “see you later brother.” Jay turned and sped out of the basement only to have stake go through his chest.   Jay came to a halt looking down at the stake which was in his chest before looking up at the perpetrator who he did not recognize before falling as well. The perpetrator was of course Holly who then proceeded to run down to the basement in time to see John’s body.   … John awoke later with a migraine and pain in the neck, he looked around at his surroundings recognizing the familiar interior of his living room. He suddenly stood remembering what had happened, he couldn’t believe what had happened, sure he was still alive but that didn’t change the fact that Jay snaped his neck, he snaped his neck!   At this moment Holly walked over with a glass of water, “oh… your awake.” “Holly”, john rushed towards her; “are you okay? Did he hurt you?” “hey, calm down” Holly spoke while smiling on the inside when she saw how John was worried about her.   John let out a sigh of relief seeing as Holly was truly okay, “that’s good but we have to find him, we have no idea how much trouble he might have caused what if the people from last come after him again… oh god what if they have him.” John began to rant as he thought of the many things that could have happened when he was out. “there’s no need”, Holly spoke up causing John to look at her, she continued to prevent any misunderstanding “he is the basement.” Her words puzzling John.   John went down into the basement with Holly right behind. John was stunned when he arrived he turned quickly to Holly with shock and horror on his face “you…you, you killed him.” Holly rolled her eyes at him, “he isn’t dead” “what do you mean he isn’t dead there is a freaking stake in his chest!”   “it didn’t go through his heart.” “soo…” “*sigh* the stake needs to go through the heart to kill a vampire” “she is right little bro” Jay’s voice sounded drawing their attention. Jay stood drawing the stake from his chest, he took a closer look at the wooden stake which was now covered in his blood before tossing it to the side his wounds healing at a visible rate.   “you’re going to need a lot more to kill me apparently”, he spoke with a smile on his face as though he wasn’t just staked in the chest with a wooden stake. “you snapped my neck” John spoke “well you tied me up, in the basement might I add” Jay defended himself “you. Snapped. My. Neck” “okay I admit that was a bit harsh.”   “a bit, you f**king snaped my neck. I could have died you know! Died!”  “but you didn’t did you; a normal human would be dead but you, your still up and kicking and considering your girlfriend here…” “she/I’m not mine/his girlfriend.” Both spoke up immediately.   “right.. point is you’re not human are you brother.” Jay’s words caught John of guard, now it wasn’t as though he was never going to tell him he just wanted to hold back until he figured out how and why all this happened.   “what, cat got your tongue brother. Hm anyway considering you could leave when the sun is still out, I’m going to go out on a limb here and say you are not a vampire. So brother dearest what are you?” Jay spoke tilting his head waiting for his brother’s response.   “… I don’t know.” After a short pause John finally spoke, “fine then let’s talk about something you do know… how did this happen?” Jay responded.   ……….   Holly had arrived home, although she was interested in the cause of the brothers change she knew it wasn’t her place and at the same time she could tell that although Jay was acting nonchalant he definitely held a grudge against her for putting a stake through his chest.   She was thinking to herself when she heard a knock on her door.   She moved to open the door wondering who exactly it was. She opened the door surprised at who it was, before was the sheriff herself, Lindsey.   “hello Holly, mind if I come in?” Lindsey spoke, “sure come in.” Holly did not hesitate to invite her in “so how can I help you?”   “Holly, you should know I just came to check up on you.” Holly scoffed at what she said, “yeah sure “ “I know things have been rough since your dad died but you know I care about you.” “really?” “yes of course.” “then tell me how he really died! Tell me who killed my father!” “*sigh* I have told you this countless times no one killed your father it was an accident.” “that’s a lie and you know it, something else is going on in this town. you just don’t want to tell me what really happened. I think it’s time you left” “Holly…” “JUST GO!”   Lindsey took one more look at her as though wanting to say something but just turned and left . Holly watched her leave before returning to a room, the room had so many books which were strung around the room alongside a bunch of weapons on the wall were a bunch of papers and pictures were strung together, “I will definitely avenge you father.”
