Unexpected Feelings

Chapter 2: Making things hard for him

Javier and Katrina left and went to the salon. Since Katrina has a new bodyguard now, she doesn't have to drive. She arrogantly told Javier to open and close the door for her. He would mumble when she said something that makes him feel offended. When they got to the salon, Javier got out of the car and opened the door for her.

Katrina said disdainful..." You should learn to be faster when opening the door. I don't have time to waste... When for me when I'm done." she took her bag and entered the salon.

Javier rolled his eyes at her when she wasn't looking. He regretted accepting this job, he was sure that he wasn't going to last for a month with her. He just hopes that he wasn't going to be stuck with her for the rest of his life, otherwise he might ended up choking her to death if gets fed up. He waits there for an hour and Katrina hasn't come out yet. He murmurs to himself while leaning on the car.

Actually, Katrina was doing this on purpose, she was already done 30 minutes ago. She just wanted to piss him off so he could quit his job and her father will have to look for something that she wants. She sat chatting with her best friend, Valerie who was busy painting her nails. She tells her about Javier and how she hates him for making her face soak wet earlier. Suddenly she was hit by an idea. She immediately say goodbye to Valerie and rushed out. When Javier saw her coming out, he spoke under his breath " ugh, I can't believe you wasted my time just to look more ugly with that hair color."

Katrina got inside smiling mischievously. When Javier got inside and closed the door, he heard Katrina say..." Drive to the pub right after the left corner, please."

The word ' please ' gave him a bad feeling. He starts the car and stepped on the accelerator, moving the car. The car slowly stops in front of the pub. He began wondering what was her plan. He got out of the car and went to her side and opened the door for Katrina. She got out smiling evilly and went inside while Javier follows behind her. The pub was fool of different people of different heights and sizes. Katrina searched around looking for someone, until she spotted she was looking for.

Javier asked curiously. " Excuse me Katrina, but this place doesn't look safe." as he looked around, he noticed some couple of bad men drinking seriously on the counter.

" What do you mean? I don't see anyone that would hurt me here, do I? " her tone was much nicer than the one she had earlier.

" Those men don't look like good guys, do they? " he said pointing them with his eyes, he was just trying to be extra careful.

" You are scared, aren't you?... I knew you are nothing else but a coward from the first time I laid my eyes on you." she said rudely.

Javier took a deep breath for her stubbornness. " No. I'm not scared of them. They mean nothing in my eyes. So can we just go now. "

Katrina pretend to be shocked, she looked at him and said..." Alright since you are so confident of yourself, I'm going to tell them about them meaning nothing in your eyes." smiled slyly as she walks up to them. Javier was already too late to stop her.

When Katrina tapped one of the scary and strong men in the pub, he glares at her and asked in a scary tone. " What do you want, Young lady? "

Katrina cleared up her throat and looked at Javier's reaction before saying. " My bodyguard here thinks he can beat you all with just his eyes closed. I tried to tell him that you guys are far more stronger than him, but since he is hot headed, he wants to prove it." she secretly glanced at Javier who had a terrified expression. Her heart beamed with joy.

Javier was out of words. He knew that she is a troublemaker, but he didn't know she will go this far to make his job miserable. He quickly said. " No no. That's not true, I think she misunderstood me."

Katrina crossed her arms and looked at him with despite." That's what I thought. I knew it that my father was making a huge mistake hiring you. You are just a little mice that is only good at getting scared, just like you are now." Katrina was speaking loudly that she caught the attention of everyone.

Javier was not scared at all, he actually meant it that they were nothing in his eyes. Hearing what Katrina said, aroused him to fight. He was so angry by the way she spoke to him and wanted to vent his anger right away, before he vents it to her when she said one more thing that makes him lose control.

Everyone else laughed by what Katrina said. Even a random guy commented..." hahaha, she's right. Just run away while you still have time before they ruin your good-looking face. You don't belong here man, you should probably be an actor or something. Not a bodyguard. I feel sorry for the person relying on you meanwhile you're just relying on them. Haha!"

Everyone laughed. Katrina began feeling sorry for him, as she have went too far on this. She didn't feel right anyone talking like that to him except for her. But she convinced herself by saying that he deserves it for pouring water on her face.

Javier wasn't going to fight with anyone, but upon hearing what the other guy just said, pissed him off. It released a crazy hungry monster that was inside him. Within a blink of an eye, he had already reached to him, raising him up high with one of his hands while the other prepares to punch him.

Everyone gasped out of breath. Everyone went silent in shocked, they just didn't expect his sudden movements. Katrina looked at him terrified, she didn't expect him to be like this. The guy who was raised up was thrown to the floors when one of the scary men said." Put him down. He is not involved in this, we are."

Javier looked at the men with killing intent in his eyes. He had never felt like this for years, ever since he left his old life and came here to work for the president. His knuckles made the cracking sound, making others get a grasp of fear. He doesn't want to fight, but the disrespect he got today from Katrina he couldn't help it. He wants something to vent his anger on. He slowly walked closely in front of them. Katrina knew that Javier was no match for the 3 strongest bodybuilders that also do boxing. It was easy to see who was going to lose.

Javier stood there waiting for them to make the first move. Everyone waited for Javier's death as he was definitely going to lose to these men. One of the three men who was standing in the middle, slightly pushed him. Everyone was was crossing fingers for the young man in front of them survives. Some even tried to stop him, but Javier just ignored them.

Suddenly something made Katrina ran to Javier and stopped him before he was about to throw a fist to the guy that pushed him. She didn't want herself to be responsible for Javier's death tonight, so she couldn't stay there and do nothing while her hotheaded bodyguard who just wanted to show off gets beaten to death. She pulled Javier aside and warned him.

" Don't you dare get into a fight you can't survive in. Lets go." She turned around to the people and said." Sorry guys, we are leaving. Don't mind him, he just forgot to take his meds this morning." She pulled Javier who was not willing to let this go outside.

When they got to the car, instead Katrina waiting for Javier to open the door, she opens it herself and closed it with a slam. Javier was still angry and was about to go back inside when Katrina rolls the window down, and tells him to drive. Javier's anger was slowly making it's way out, so he stayed outside for a few minutes to calm himself down. When he got in, Katrina yelled at him for being so careless risking his life in order to show off in front of people.

" I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING! YOU ARE THE ONE THAT SET ME UP! " Javier yelled back making Katrina fall in silence, because she didn't not expect him to speak to her like this. The car fell in silence, and Javier decided to drive back. Katrina didn't want to admit that she lost this fight between them, so she cursed him in her heart multiple times. She even starts to regret why didn't she just let get beaten by those men at the pub. She felt angry and planned to complain to her father once she was home. She looked at the rearview mirror and saw his tightly frowning brows and guessed that he was probably angry too. When Javier meets Katrina's eyes on the rearview, she quickly looked outside her window and didn't say anything. His eyes made her shiver.
