Lyra, where do you think you're going to?” Aunt Rhea barked at me, as she used her strong arms to push me back roughly, causing me to fall flat onto the floor. “Today is the day Alpha Kieran announces me as his mate”, I stammered and Aunt Rhea immediately burst into laughter. “I've never met anyone as stupid as you are. You think Alpha Kieran will choose you, of all the useless omegas in Raven's claw pack as his mate. You're not even thankful that you belong to a pack. It's by my grace that the pack accepted an abomination like you. Without me, you'd be banished from this city with immediate effect”. Her words hit me like a cannonball and little tears formed in my eyes. “Get up from there, you filthy thing and go wash the toilets”. I scrambled off the floor immediately and asked; “The toilets? I thought that was the Gammas’ job”. “ Well, you're no better than the gammas. In fact, they're ten times better than you. You're close to being a runt. Can you even transform? Of course you can't. But they can. You have a weak wolf which makes you a weak and worthless omega, the only thing you're good for is popping out pups”. With these words, she turned around and left my room, banging the door loudly behind her. Tears streamed endlessly out of my eyes as pain and anguish grew in my chest. She was right. Being an orphan was the worst thing that could happen to anyone. I was a result of an abominable union between members of rival packs. My father was from the Silverglade pack and my mother was from the Ashfang Clan. They were sworn enemies but my parents defied the rules of their packs and got married to each other. They also defied the moon goddess who had assigned them their respective mates within their packs. Their union ignited a war between the two packs. And after my birth, my parents were killed by the son of Silverglade's Alpha. The war was so deadly that a lot of lives were lost. The war also affected some other packs in Greyspire and Silverglade became the most feared pack in the city because they won and Ashfang clan became the most hated because they lost. They soon became extinct as the members sought other packs to join or simply became rogues. It was better than being identified as a member of Ashfang because when one of them was seen by another pack, they were killed on the spot. As a result, I had to hide my true identity as the daughter of my parents but everyone in Raven's Claw knew my true identity. When I turned 16, I found my wolf and was so excited. Her name was Elena but after that night, Elena never showed again. I was empty and alone in this world. I tried all I could do to get her back but nothing worked. This increased the hatred and bad treatment I got from Aunt Rhea and other members of Raven's Claw. So after I hurriedly finished cleaning the toilets, I slipped on a beautiful black dress, a pair of black heels, let down my beautifully styled hair and applied pink lip gloss. Staring into the mirror, I saw a beautiful young woman with big green eyes that hid all the pain and anguish she had suffered all her life. I pushed away all the pain and smiled widely when I remembered who I was going to see, my mate. I snuck out of the house and headed for the Pack Residence where Alpha Kieran was going to announce to everyone that I was his mate. Upon getting there, the hall was empty and there was no one there except for a few gammas who were guarding the entrance. “Where's everyone? Hasn't the announcing ceremony started? I asked one of the gammas. “It's over. Alpha Kieran has already announced who is going to be his luna”. He replied, giving me a disgusted look as his eyes roamed from my head to my toe. I was confused. Why did Alpha Kieran announce me as his Luna in my absence? I looked at the watch on my wrist and gasped when I saw the time. I came very late because I had to wash the toilets and Alpha Kieran being a very disciplined person, could not wait anymore so he decided to do it in my absence. “So where's Alpha Kieran? I need to see him”, I asked again but I did not get any response, the gammas simply looked at me with disgust before throwing away their faces. I ignored their reactions, holding my head high as I climbed the stairs to look for Kieran myself. They were simply jealous that the girl they had always looked down on was going to be their Luna. I smiled to myself. There were many rooms in the Pack residence but I decided to check Kieran's room. He was most probably taking a rest from the day's activities. When I got to his room, I saw that the door was slightly open so I let myself in without knocking. His room was very large and upon entering, I was immediately overcome with a strong smell. Kieran. Even though Elena was absent, I still had a sharp sense of smell and hearing. But there was another smell, a feminine smell and another raw natural smell. I walked further into the room and was not prepared for the sight in front of me. There was a glass door leading to a large balcony in Kieran's room and the door was wide open revealing the naked backside of Kieran as he drove his member in and out of what sounded like Vera, my best friend. “Ughhh, Alpha K, give it to me. Nnyesss…I love ittt”. This was followed by loud groans coming from Kieran expressing the pleasure he was getting from f*****g my best friend. My mouth hung open in shock and tears flowed out of my eyes uncontrollably as I stood frozen unable to believe my eyes. “YES!! I'll give it to you just the way you like it, V. I love being inside you”. He growled passionately as he slapped her behind and increased his pace. They did not even notice that there was someone else in the room, they couldn't. Apart from the fact that they were f*****g in the balcony for the whole city to see while backing me, there were also deeply engrossed in what they were doing. I had always been in love with Kieran and my joy knew no bounds when I was hanging out in the woods where I loved to be and I heard a loud growl afar off followed by a loud fast pounding on the ground approaching my direction. Fear gripped me but before I could take any action, a man had appeared in front of me, the most handsome creature I'd ever seen with intense passion in his eyes. “Mate”, he growled, his hot breath hitting my face as I watched his eyes change from black to red. I did not have my wolf present but I felt the strongest connection and attraction to him. I knew there and then that Kieran was truly my mate. Right there, on the ground surrounded by leaves, trees and forest animals, Kieran took my innocence, causing me to scream as I reached my climax while my shaky legs hung up in the air. Afterwards, he said; “I can't wait to announce to the world that you're going to be my luna”. Back at Kieran’s room, as I relived the memory of the night he took my virginity and pronounced me as his future luna, I lost all sense of reasoning and I opened my mouth and let out the loudest scream anyone had ever screamed. It worked. Kieran and Vera broke apart and upon seeing me, Kieran approached me with fire in his eyes. Smack. He hit me hard across my face, harder than I had ever been hit before and I fell to the ground immediately. “You bastard. What the hell are you doing here?” He barked, his voice laced with intense terror. He pulled my hair and dragged me off the floor, his hot breath sending shivers through me. “Why are you doing this? I thought I was your mate”, I croaked tearfully, fear coursing through my veins. He wrapped his massive hand around my neck and squeezed it, almost choking the life out of me. “You crazy filthy thing. Why would you ever think that I, Alpha Kieran Voss of Raven's Claw Pack will accept a low-life less than common wolfless omega like you as my mate. That will never happen. You never were and will never be my mate”, he barked, his voice seething with anger and hatred. His words hit me so hard, I couldn't stand or think properly anymore. Vera stood watching with pride as Kieran dragged me out of the room, his hand still wrapped tightly and painfully around my neck. “Felix. John”, he barked. “Come take this ungrateful abomination and lock her up in the dungeon”. “Nooooo… do not do this to me”. I cried helplessly. “How could you betray me like this Vera, we were friends. You're my best friend”, I cried to Vera who was now standing at the doorway, watching the whole scene with a satisfied and evil look on her face. It was like I did not know my friend anymore. “Don't call me that, Lyra. I am Luna Vera and the pathetic sight of you disgusts me. Please take her away”, Vera said dismissively. Kieran's claws dug into my neck and I shrieked as I felt blood stream down my neck with an unbearable sting. He leaned closer to my ears and whispered. “I, Alpha Kieran Voss of the Raven's Claw pack reject you Lyra as my mate”. “Take this filthy thing away”, he bellowed to the gammas who were appraising me with disgust. The gammas released me from Kieran's deathly grip and dragged me away as I shouted and yelled for help. My cries and wails were ignored by Kieran and everyone else as I was led to the dark, moist and smelly dungeon. As they threw me into the dark room and locked it, the silent words that came out of my mouth were; “But I'm carrying your child, Kieran. I'm pregnant for you”.
