I was faced with an interesting dilemma. How does a wolf fight something impervious to his teeth and claws? If Miya had lingered, I would have relied on her new strange flame power, but my friends and I were here with nothing but teeth and claws between us.
What do we do? Bradley asked, shaking off the worst of his injuries. He hunched, snarling at the spider hybrid. How anyone could think Miya was anything like these beasts was beyond me- Miya had an elegance to her, this was a pure monster.
