Miya POV
I was running again. Through the woods, five tails bouncing behind me. I was aware, in a foggy kind of way, that it was wrong. There wasn’t supposed to be five. I was on four. Right? But it didn’t matter- something was closing in behind me. Something impossibly large, that knocked trees down as its heavy paws pounded the earth. Something bigger than me, or Riever, or his whole pack and Dimitri’s whole coven.
“Over here!” A voice called- female, familiar in a foggy way.
I turned, heading towards her, shifting as I ran so I could fit through the narrow doorway she opened, that cut through the trunk of a tree. I passed through and entered into nothing- an expanse of inky black, lit by dozens of stars. She followed, dressed in the same blue night sky cloak she’d worn the first time
