Sarah GardnerChristmas had come and gone without any surprises. They’d all decided to have dinner together. Louise, Abby, and Kate had gone over to Sarah’s house so that the children could remain in their element. Caleb was there, of course. And Louise had invited Philip.
Together, they cooked their favorite dishes, forgoing the traditional Christmas menu of roast and side dishes. Louise made some spaghetti and meatballs. Kate cooked pork adobo—apparently a Filipino classic—and steamy jasmine rice, which went down well with the children. Sarah made her favorite of beef burritos.
