Frederick and Ivy arrived at the medical research facility within thirty minutes. The entire building had been sealed off by police, and forensics teams were moving through the halls collecting evidence. The laboratory where Frederick kept his most important research had been ransacked. Computer terminals were smashed, filing cabinets were overturned, and the wall safe where Frederick had kept the encrypted backup drives was open and empty.
