Jack opened the envelopes that held all the things he’d need to complete his field guiding course. There was his field guiding log book with his name written on front. The level one Learner Manual had a photo of the authors on the back showing a hunky looking man with a wide smile and his co-author wife. Jack frowned, wondering how such a gorgeous man could possibly be straight. There was his Learner Support Pack, and finally, the Nature Support Guide which was a learner’s workbook.
“You know, Will, this is somewhat similar to the apprenticeship program. I don’t mean in subject matter, but the process. There’s the theoretical learning, practical training and mentoring. I just need to get my head around the lingo but I’m sure I can do this.” Jack nodded as he read more about the program.
