Chapter 8
After breakfast Jack brought the van around to the hotel main entrance. He entered his uncle’s address into the GPS and waited until everyone piled in. They planned a round-trip, returning to the hotel later in the day to spend the night. Jeff called shotgun but shrugged when Jack gave him the stink-eye and Will smugly took the spot.
“We’ll be on the road for a little less than two hours. The scenery is beautiful so make sure you don’t miss anything.” He did a quick check to be sure everyone was buckled in.
Jack thought it might be more fun for the kids to visit the Nanaimo Museum while he visited with their uncle. Willem offered to accompany Peg and the kids, but Peg suggested all the men meet with Vince. She and the kids would be fine until they came to pick them up.
