“Come on, Jack. We’re going to Cuir. It’s been months and you’ve been totally miserable. My brother, Robbie, is coming along. Jeff said he’d join us as well.” Thomas was determined to get Jack into some semblance of normal. He knew from his heartache during the mix-up when everyone was trying to find him a partner how Jack must be feeling. “We’ll have a few drinks, play some pool, and get back into the groove of socializing. Wear the harness Willem bought for you.” He decided not to pretend Jack’s lover didn’t exist.
Jack was about to decline and then thought about it. “f**k it, Thomas. Why not? I can’t sit home every night wondering what went wrong. Perhaps it is time to move on.”
Robbie was the designated driver and soon the five were parked outside Cuir. Jack was surprised
