Chapter 6

It must have been hours, her feet hurt and she was cold, but they were getting closer to the cabin. She couldn’t get her mind off home, her sister’s may her noticed her unusual absence and her mom might have called again. Today wasn’t supposed to be like this, she dragged the guys into this and she had to find a way to get them home somehow, jack looked so hungry and worn out. Richard’s face gave nothing away.

It wasn’t supposed to be like this she thought...

life was so much better when her father was alive He always had time for her,she wished he hadn’t been in the fire when it started. His company had caught fire and her father had been among the victims.she looked around the woods, no doubt it was strange a strange place.

The strange aura she felt was gone. She had a feeling something big was coming.

“What the....what is that?

Jasmine snapped out of her thought on hearing jack’s voice she looked at him and saw that he was pointing towards the cabin...

Wait the cabin,

“Is this cabin made of what I think it is?”

I think so what was your first guess? Jack said with a hint of sarcasm to his tone

“But it doesn’t make sense! How can there be a chocolate house, I mean... how?”

“We landed here by falling into a hole, we were almost eaten by a gigantic bug, they trees here are shaped like human beings and the birds here sound like human beings with green sand and the sky here isn’t normal... nothing is normal here at all... so Richard you see.”

“So who’s knocking at the chocolate house?” Richard whispered looking at both of them

Both jasmine and Jack looked at each other and chorused “ not me” in unison roofy whimpered and hid behind jasmine

“Okay I’ll knock scaredy- cats.”

Richard swallowed hard and adjusted his shirt It took every atom of courage in him to knock. After some seconds he heard a tiny voice from the house

“Who’s there?”

“What do I say ?”jack shrieked

“Someone “..... jack offered cleaning his glasses before putting them on

“Someone!”Richard called out.

“Coming!” the same voice replied.

The opened and Richard yelled loudly and ran toward jasmine and jack

What’s that? Is that an.... but they’re not real... what is this place the North Pole? Richard asked with a horrid and frightened expression.

Oh dear jasmine gasped looking doeful. She wasn’t surprised judging from everything they’ve been through. She knew deep down more was to come.

The creature in front of them was pale yellow with very long brown hair and big green eyes. It’s ears were very long and had pointy edges to it. It’s had lips you could barely see. It was a woman and she wore shoes made of candy sticks and a green gown.

“Elf’s are not real “Richard exclaimed. He wanted to pass out.

“Of course we are. “The creature replied blinking rapidly and looking at them blithely.

Jasmine stepped forward...

“ hello, we’re lost and we’ve been working for hours and we just want to know if you know the way to trident town”

“I don’t know anywhere, we hardly leave our cabin. I’ll take you to Gaea. She knows all. But you all look hungry and tired come in and have something to eat, and get cleaned up oh dear your clothes are ripped “she said looking at jasmine who glanced at her clothes. She didn’t realize they were so bad.

Richard looked at her and she nodded signifying that they could go in.. at least it was better to rest a bit, besides her feet were killing her.

The all gasped loudly when they stepped into the cabin. They were too shocked to speak.
